The harsher reality is that politicians are not paid to think about disabled/vulnerable/higher risk people in any context. If we somehow no longer exist, they may cynically view it as a cost-saving perk. But to actively pursue a eugenics campaign against us, someone would have to bankroll it. Is that happening? Is somebody sifting through campaign donors and lobbyists to find those money daddies so we’ll know who to name and blame?

My favourite visualizations of how gross mouths are were from the early days of the pandemic, when most sources were saying droplet more than aerosol. That was enough to nope me out on people forever.
Whatever we want to call it, it’s icky. People should feel more shame about their spittle velocity even in the best of times.

I think people are so broken that the announcement of a new pandemic on top of the general public's fatigue and irritation that Covid continues to be a thing even though it's, like, so totes cheugy that anyone still gets it and, like, get over it already, we're SO done with it that they won't bother with precautions. Those of us who see the iceberg ahead are just going to be instantly dismissed as fearmongers. Frankly, let them stuff themselves at the virus buffet.
