This chart is useless. More important is XMRUSD. XMRBTC was useful in 2017 when everyone used BTC to get into other coins. Nowadays they use USD directly

Wrong, please do not spread lies. Bitcoin is a transparent blockchain worse than any CBDC because it is fully public information. A transaction today can be a criminal act in the future. Nothing can be removed

Funny that we still have such privacy haters in a world we see now with all that mass surveilance, censorship etc.
We don't need another currency dictatorship with BTC only. BTC will break in a few years, everyone knows that.

You should learn more about fungibility, what that really means, what a transparent blockchain is. Bitcoin is a CBDC in self custody.
Do you know why Monero users get caught? Not because Monero is broken but because they used swap services and swapped into shitcoins like BTC and than they got them.

The idea of VPN was not really to gain privacy, it was to have a secure network connection between two points. But you gain privacy with that concept as you can use the IP of the exit point as your IP.
So also if you want connect 2 networks you can use VPN

If you need an IP address from US for example, if you want to do some IP whitelistwning withiout to do it with your to your ID / personal info tied IP address, if you want not to share your IP Info's with any website / service you use etc. There are tons of use cases

The VPS is always yours, the hypervisor can see to traffic and all network components between you and the VPS. But the same counts if you use a VPN provider.

i have no issues with several self hosted VPNs. Hetzner IPs can be an issue

2026-06-19 17:16:46 GMT

Self Hosted VPNs make a lot of sense. Sure you do not hide in the crowd but if you rent an anonymous VPS and install Wireguard you have full control over it, you can run your own DNS blocklists, you can whitelist the IP where needed etc etc. Also your IP is not automcally blocked everywhere.

2026-06-19 12:50:18 GMT

I regularly attend a privacy meetup. While there were mixed opinions on Bitcoin and privacy until recently, and also on Bitcoin as an opt-out tool, it now seems everyone agrees that Bitcoin is the wrong choice. Bitcoin as a transparent investment tool, yes; for maintaining privacy, no; for opting out. Everyone is now a Monero user.
It's also clear that the Monero community is united in its goal and won't be deterred.

2026-05-30 20:00:15 GMT

This is totally wrong from the OP. No one can see your total Bitcoin balance, no one can see all your transactions because it is not possible to tie all transactions to the same wallet ( maybe in some cases but not all the time)
To get all this information you would need the xpub which shows everything. No one puts the xpub public, this would be the same as if someone puts his Secret View Key (Monero) online.
Please OP d https://npub1lmcz2kuqs2x2356vxnkn5h9ektuz83v5pyzh05fdqz7x0x9f60esz0afdm.blossom.band/1954115bd70dc2eaed2aa44b80ef45685016b49d1113bffef9dbbd6c66e0c898.jpg o your research before you post wrong things. Learn to understand how Bitcoin works, the UTXO concept, xpub etc.

I honestly can imagine that they try to dry out the hype for Bitcoin and make it as hard as possible to stay sovereign. Not saying this comes from Trump but somewhere in the whole system is against privacy and freedom.

A coinjoin alone doesn't help you still need good opsec and have to know how to deal with UTXOs after it. Also you may be asked why you did a coinjoin. It doesn't make Bitcoin fungible
If you need privacy per default go with Monero.

BIP47 is more adopted as Silent Payments
Samourai Wallet
Ashigaru Wallet
Sparrow Wallet
Blue Wallet
You can use paynyms (BIP47) to get mining rewards from an mining pool, you can use it for the login for the login for The Bitcoin Company, you use it to login into your Dojo, you can coordinated payjoins etc etc

2026-05-24 19:21:57 GMT

Silent Payments solves only 1 issue which is the address reuse problem. it doesn't solve anything else. You still have to do a lot of work if you want to do private transactions. Merging UTXOs is still an issue with SP etc.
It is not new and not a magical tool.
BIP47 solves the same issue BUT it has more use cases like coordination, authentication, verification.

2026-05-23 20:12:15 GMT

The good that ng with BIP47 is that you see from who you received it. So when youneded to merge UTXOs you can choose the ones from the same source. With Silent Payments you run into issues. It is just useless and crappy
