We're winning.
Don't stop to argue, don't look back, or rest, or catch a breath. Keep outbuilding the scum of the earth into total insignificance.
Feels like we're driving away from Zombies in a hotwired truck, and they're in the rear window, chasing and screaming, uselessly.
The Solution...
To Pollution...
Is Dilution.

this is exactly how I see it - Obsidian a local github repo suited to prose.
I hated coding, but love writing, and this software is the first that feels to me like a workflow that a dev would recognise, and I can use as efficiently.
Further, i'd say this will not take long for Obsidian to be adaptable to NOSTR and perhaps will be produced in a FOSS project as Obsidian is free but not open sourced - and the dev excuses are not acceptable.
Further still, educational efforts such as https://planb.network/ might be making a small mistake by driving their content into Gitgub for a few reasons:
-The tiny technical gap of push/pull will immediately make a barrier to entry for most people
-The poor flexibility of Github for the written word
-Github is the YouTube of code and the rug is coming.
PlanB Network are for some reason averse to NOSTR, I think there are territorial disputes as they are somehow vested into a funded alternative. Not had a chance to confirm this, but that's a shame if true.

“Through me you pass into the city of woe:
Through me you pass into eternal pain:
Through me among the people lost for aye.
Justice the founder of my value moved:
To rear me was the task of power divine,
Supremest wisdom, and primeval love.
Before me things create were none, save things eternal,
and eternal I shall endure.
All hope abandon, ye who enter here.”

Lovely view this morning, looking forward to day 2 of @npub1p0x…deeh. Best conference I've attended, (but I've not been to that many).
Everyone says good morning as I walk by, its sunny, full of hope, optimism, youthful people in body and spirit. Home just feels like a prison I'm on day-release from.
Fear, negativity, doubt drops away like old memories and bad dreams. What remains is bone deep conviction to progress without delay, in all directions, create order, take risk, make ALL things cheaper, easier, faster, safer, stronger. Solve hitherto impossible problems with grace and ease.
Bitcoiners in one place are truly formidable at this point. This is an economic and intellectual emancipation.
My first 5 or so years as a Bitcoiner were solo and disconnected. I just held my coins and lived in exile in the fiat mines.
There was a time when it would take an hour a week to review what is happening in Bitcoin. Then it become a full time job, and now, I think we're at a point where no-one person can claim they are completely informed.
We've moved into the early Bitcoin Renaissance period. Progress is conforming exactly to a power law. Opportunities are multiplying as they are seized. We're moving forward almost by the hour. It's absolutely staggering, and emotionally overwhelming. We've become a forest of best-friends, and economic counterparts.
Onward my friends, onward. In all directions, on all fronts, forever. Never ever look back or sideways. Punch through your targets, fight through your positions. Don't stop to argue with zombies, give them no time and no quarter. Freedom first. Join or die.

"Rearden Steel stood through the years of storm and of calm, as he had stood by his desk, the day he poured the first heat of his metal... The proud lines of the Taggart rails and the glowing bands of Rearden Metal had become a living symbol of the days when men were free—free to produce, to trade, to dream, to rise, to fall, and to stand up—
... a symbol of that unconquerable force which had gone, but which might some day return."

"This is the choice left to the direct and indirect heirs of the Baby Boomer Estate. If you decide cut and run, perhaps to other countries with better prospects and live in exile, you must also leave behind the opportunity that remains, but more importantly the moral right to claim ownership of the land. To the victor comes the spoils, but first you need the victory.
We the living, are only to be judged by the fruits of what we leave behind - not where started from, and not what the observers say about us along the way. Be single minded in what you have control or influence over. Be indifferent and stoic in all other matters. They are not your concern. Make a conscious decision and commit to it, absolutely, and come what may. "

Gigi, i've got a good article coming out on that very subject, but the best answer i've arrived at comes from this area:
TLDR, past a certain point, the systems move from satble/sub-critical, and past that point, any single addition grain of sand (or snowdrop on an avalanche, or unit of currency), could do nothing at all, or trigger the whole slope to collapse.

not everyday, in high season, with low winds - you can get 20-30m visibility and then its a dream. Great life off those sites, no mantas, but lots of everything else, even the odd whale shark. Good memories, but not much fun in rainy season.
Racha is the place to go from april - sep. Not as good but safer and more reliable. And some fun wrecks at shallow, safe depths.
Twitter hacks people prone to Projection.
The Nostr hacks people inclined to Sublimation.
Both serve to protect the ego from feelings or thoughts that are hard to cope with. Like say, the live-streamed collapse of Western Civilization.
Projection deals with avoiding self-reflection by attributing one's unwanted feelings to others (Twitter, emotional/reactive, negative)
Sublimation involves redirecting those valid feelings into constructive activities. (Nostr, stoic, positive)

pros and cons. A dot gets on a witness statement, if it goes that way after the fact. It shows a clear intent to all, step by step. Also a laser across the face or on your chest is a superb reminder to an angry person that they could reconsider.
Also tend to be smaller and less obtrusive.
Pro's to a torch, but i think thats better for offense, or possibly home invasion where access is less of a factor, and the light adds advantage in movement through a dark space. These are sweeping generalizations.

i wont die on this hill. More than any toys, are just good drills/basics done well. When you are totally shitting yourself, whatever youre familiar with is better than a new toy you've pulled twice a year at the range.
But, something that helps at night and low light is a broad plus, under the above caveats.
I do agree its not to improve accuracy when most defended situations are <20ft.
But when the brown adrenaline has stripped you of everything except your drills, all else is refinement and careful decisions. Simpler is better.
Low light can reduce your familiarity with aim if you only train daylight/indoors. Red dot can help cut though glare or for people with glasses etc.
You can't glue skills onto your gat to compensate laziness. Same as any tool.
You stacked hard and now the fiat price is rising.
That is the very worst way to measure what that money is worth.
Slobbering at what the State says about a custodial fund. For shame. You won't hold your money long. I promise.
Would you measure your fitness against the pace of a dying man? Or against your own highest possible potential?
Think very hard about what comes next.... Can your mind match your inherited fortune? Are you lucky? Or are you good enough to start again from zero?
Who amongst us will create wealth even when Bitcoin is properly deployed?
---------------------------------------------------
"Only the man who does not need it, is fit to inherit wealth, the man who would make his own fortune no matter where he started.
If an heir is equal to his money, it serves him; if not, it destroys him.
But you look on and you cry that money corrupted him.
Did it? Or did he corrupt his money?
Do not envy a worthless heir; his wealth is not yours and you would have done no better with it.
Do not think that it should have been distributed among you; loading the world with fifty parasites instead of one, would not bring back the dead virtue which was the fortune. Money is a living power that dies without its root.
Money will not serve the mind that cannot match it."

"If you saw Atlas, the giant who holds the world on his shoulders, if you saw that he stood, blood running down his chest, his knees buckling, his arms trembling but still trying to hold the world aloft with the last of his strength, and the greater his effort the heavier the world bore down upon his shoulders - What would you tell him?"
"I…don't know. What…could he do? What would you tell him?"
"To shrug."

...For example: If I were to google “Is it safe to drink bleach?”, find some website that says yes, and then drink bleach, OfCom would not hold me responsible. They would hold Google responsible for letting me read that website. Likewise, if someone tweets @ me telling me to drink bleach, and I do so, Twitter would be held responsible for permitting that communication to take place...

“Comrades!” he cried. “You do not imagine, I hope, that we pigs are doing this in a spirit of selfishness and privilege?
Many of us actually dislike milk and apples. I dislike them myself. Our sole object in taking these things is to preserve our health.
Milk and apples (this has been proved by Science, comrades) contain substances absolutely necessary to the well-being of a pig.
We pigs are brainworkers.
The whole management and organisation of this farm depend on us. Day and night we are watching over your welfare. It is for YOUR sake that we drink that milk and eat those apples.
Do you know what would happen if we pigs failed in our duty? Jones would come back! Yes, Jones would come back!
Surely, comrades,” cried Squealer almost pleadingly, skipping from side to side and whisking his tail, “surely there is no one among you who wants to see Jones come back?”
Now if there was one thing that the animals were completely certain of, it was that they did not want Jones back.

Are we early? Or are we just the Remnant?
Looking out at the the current fuckshow, and back through history, I just think...
Most humans just act like middle of the food chain animals. Only the cream of the cream have ever tipped the affairs of the world forward, and only at great risk and as extreme outliers.
In peacetime the median human bumps along in peace, bought with violence in a previous cycle. When that wears off, the median human goes along with whatever their peer group requires, agnostic to purpose or values.
Never have righteous ideas or fairness ever broken free of the bounds of your neighbours' jealousy and ignorance. My lifetime has been witness to a supercycle of evil (perhaps its just the wider visibility of a constant evil that's always been there and never been recorded).
So is this really just about the passage of time??
Or do we need to continue to get fucked over until people on the edge of their tolerance start "hoisting the flag and slitting throats"?
(civil unrest always gives rise to these feelings)
