📣 🚨 SERVER UPDATE: 📣 🚨
Many of you no doubt noticed that the Kolektiva servers were down for several hours this past weekend. This service outage was caused by a hardware error. The situation was complicated by the fact that it happened on a long weekend when several members of our tech team were unavailable.
The specific technical problem has been resolved, and a more long-term solution to the issue is currently being pursued.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Users may have noticed that our servers were down temporarily this morning. Our tech team is still investigating, but for now it appears to have been a localized network outage, and not related to our servers specifically. We will update if we learn anything different.

kolektiva currently doesn't enable expanded searching functionalities since a lot of people here didn't want their posts to be more searchable then what they currently are, and want their stuff to stay in their network / community on the server.
That being said, even if we do want to enable that, there would be some discussions to have collectively and also some work to do on our infra before getting there.
