Last Notes npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 I've noticed lately, especially over on reddit, a huge wave of negativity towards #linuxmint I swear at least some of it has to be some sort of psyop. In any case, most of it is FUD. npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…sftd Is it a model with a Radeon graphics card? npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…rtl5 Yeah and newegg wasn't getting it any cheaper :( npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 Is this any good? Keeping in mind this is Canada and everything is more expensive here #PC #gaming #AMD npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 I'm curious if anyone else feels the same way - my issue with #MonkeyIsland2 is that the graphics are too busy, and combined with the resolution limitations of the time, everything ends up looking pretty muddled. The classic #MacOS version alleviates this somewhat with the graphic smoothing filter; it's just a shame that the sound in that version isn't the best. npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…5y0h You talking about Star Wars Episode 1: Racer? npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 Very close to platinuming Star Wars Episode1: Racer! I did *not* get this far as a kid, lol. npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…vdqp LMDE comes with Cinnamon, not Mate. But yeah, it's a better option than anything Ubuntu. I've been pretty happy with it. npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…g4vn why do people tolerate owning appliances that can even do *this*? npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 #climate #justice #ClimateJustice #FightBack #EatTheRich #anticapitalism npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 Closeted in the "before times" or openly and unapologetically myself in this current dystopia. npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…c4pk @nprofile…lu0c @nprofile…7rt7 @nprofile…g58e @nprofile…0sx9 @nprofile…fh45 @nprofile…35ec @nprofile…ed4e @nprofile…kvgz @nprofile…0zur @nprofile…2q9k @nprofile…42j5 What I don't understand, is the link you've posted here to chuffed shows a fairly small amount of donations so far: https://chuffed.org/project/155233-support-nasers-treatment-and-escape-from-gaza npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…ujrl Ich wünsche dir eine gute Reise! What are the best strategies here? npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…r5de Looking at your profile pic and opening lines of your intro, I just had a good chuckle imagining my post was liked and shared by a literal cat with a Mastodon account, :P npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 To the people who have pets but then don't let them on furniture, sleep in bed with you, give kisses, or even (and this one I think is obviosly cruel) not let them in the house because it's "unhygenic" I kinda think you're a bad person. Why sign up to be leader of a pack and then reject that poor animal's signs of affection and love? Children are filthy, would you have kids and then treat them that way? npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…h94j Bed time soon, lol! Hope you have a nice visit and a nice day though :) npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…ss2n @nprofile…dm4p If you understood every question in the installer then you would know that leaving the root password blank would result in your user being granted sudo privileges and sudo working as you're accustomed to. npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 #Debian #Bookworm #VLC package has hardware video acceleration disabled. Flatpak version is unverified. Ugh. npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…h94j I would imagine that any super-high-tech aliens that have managed to progress that far and not destroy themselves or their world must have developed a high degree of empathy and compassion along the way, or just somehow strongly possess it innately. npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 1/ So I got a weird email today, in #Persian. Scam? Perhaps but of course I know what to look for in any reply and won't answer any personal questions. Will block if needed. Here's the message: npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…h94j Well, the air is practically fire here, even at 2am, so I think I'll be staying inside the next few days 🥵 npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…sw23 The Turbografx version of It Came From The Desert? npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 I don't think I've ever read a film review as scathing as this. And good for them for writing it npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…h94j You wake up much earlier than I! But it's the middle of the night here, and so I haven't yet decided what my Sunday plans are. Some cleaning might be a good idea. :) npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…vrl0 Interesting npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…vrl0 You installed Nix on the machine of someone who's coming from Windows? Are you trying to get them to hate Linux even more?? npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 Switched my default search engine from #DDG to #Mojeek, increaed the security/privacy settings of #uBlockOrigin to "medium" mode, and used my etc/hosts file to completely block all #Meta and #X domains. npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 Switched my default search engine from #DDG to #Mojeek, increaed the security/privacy settings of #uBlockOrigin to "medium" mode, and used my etc/hosts file to completely block all #Meta and #X domains. npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 @nprofile…h94j Extinction is a cool film. The rest of us being grateful for their great Greek cuisine and other contributions. npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 These are the games in my backlog. I find it too American-centric + using an American social media site leaves me feeling uneasy rn + I haven't been there that long anyway. npub1negdqej648gcd7jdhwuet8d9ag36298c55whtuq5clyl48pdsj0sa2xya4 Emma Liv 🇨🇦 🧡 Any of my fellow Ontarians old enough to remember the ICON computer from school?
