but for some odd reason decided to say they didn't. either way, i know this entropy bug was in 4.0.0 and the only coding change in 4.0.1 was what i posted.

If they say from 4.0.1 onwards it's because 4.0.0 was never officially released.
"Version 4.0.0 was built, signed, and tested internally, but its binary was never released publicly. The contemporaneous signing manifest records that internal build and does not indicate public distribution. Firmware 4.0.1 was the first public 4.x binary, so public users were not exposed to this regression."
The entropy bug existed in 4.0.0, I checked the commits. It was not added between 4.0.0 to 4.0.1.

The bug in 4.0.0 is this which was fixed in 4.0.1. It had nothing to do with the entropy bug that already existed in 4.0.0

Do you use single sig? No passphrase? If yes to either I'd move that to multi-sig asap with passphrase. I wouldn't trust coldcard at all right now until we find out more.

The 5-6 mining pools will stay on a conference call to insure BIP-110 doesn't have a chance. There won't be a game of chicken or a "red" or "blue" button.
Even if the first block after activation is BIP-110 eligible (unlikely with 1-2% of the hash) then they will just wait for the second block. Then next block is not BIP-110 eligible and BIP-110 forks off, then they just chill on the conference call for another hour until 6 more blocks are mined on their chain to be sure it's over then they hang up and go to bed.

They don't have to build everything from scratch. They need to update inscription software, parsers and indexers. AI can update the code in a minute. It's a mild nuisance for them that does nothing to stop them.
New filters won't do anything when the 5 mining pools can just continue to not use the filters in their custom version of bitcoin software.

I haven't used Brave in years so I'm not sure but I just love the sidebar on Arc, it looks nice and works well (autohides/shows depending on where you put the cursor, can bring it into view/hide it with a hotkey).
