Murrow Folk musician Pete Seeger had a custom banjo bridge made for him by legendary luthier Stu Jamieson. The bridge was designed to transfer more vibration from the strings up and into the center of the banjo head, making the head act like a conical speaker to project more sound, making it sound clearer in the process. It did this by using two light-weight legs to reach up toward the center of the banjo.
