another point of importance is that many of the quicklisp maintainers are retiring or have retired an there is quite a bit of lisp archeology to be archived on many libraries previously implemented, say for like point pixel geometry functions, algebra, parsers from the MIT schools, normie quicklisp libs etc

in this sense QBASIC is a better lisp than lisp, you can do things like read and write to a memory map with just a SET PIXEL like function, manual memory management and space organization is underrated in that sense for graphics work and its why the n64/playstation lisp compilers were insane at a hardware level
