I have definitely seen smokey skies like this. I have a few taken with eerie coloured sky, but I don't believe that there would have been smoke influence in this evening shot.
Just a brief moment in the changing tones of evening light.. and a lucky under exposure.

I feel this.
I need and appreciate the easy, quick access to many services that the city provides, but not the city itself.
I'm fortunate to live at the very edge / city limits, with access to wide open spaces and wilderness areas literally minutes away.
A 5 minute bike ride away from home and I'm in the woods where I can see deer, moose, beaver, birds of all kinds, fox, etc.. and have so far avoided bears.
Best of both worlds for me.
