This meme is about physics, but it is close enough to mathematics to be posted at this account.

To be honest, it was many years ago, I cannot guarantee that it was indeed the prime numbers theorem or even Wiener (although I am like 90% certain of this). But someone managed to use this expression to get deep non trivial results about number theory, that's for sure. And I also wonder how exactly Wiener (or whoever) explored this. It looks far from trivial. I never looked up into this proof.

I remember finding this by myself when I was a teenager. It felt marvelous. But only after many years I read somewhere that Norbert Wiener used this idea to prove the prime numbers theorem in a non standard way.
That is how I learned the difference between a genius and a simple teenager curious about math lol.

unfortunately, the article on this subject there is not very detailed.
Still, I suppose that the issue is more related to philosophy of physics than physics itself.

There a lot of people here who knows more about #physics than myself, so I wonder what you guys think about this video. It is fascinating, but it still feels wrong.

Working, but then my cat jumped on my table and demanded attention. #catsOfMastodon
