Finally some numbers to back up what I've been feeling all along. I genuinely find very little use for LLMs in my work as a software dev, it often spits out complete bullshit, and/or sends my own unaltered code back at me with "i made these changes".

Again, having access to a free to use communal garden is a huge privilege, I've never heard of one in my entire country. I'm not saying "don't garden" because I have a huge garden that I love, I'm saying that framing basic necessities as something that can be ignored in favour of "free gardening" is either incredibly privileged or just naive. If we can't recognise our own privilege, there's no point in making PSAs like this.

Thank you! I completely agree that it's unhealthy to start off with too much, I was just asking because the comment you responded to specifically referred to it being impossible to grow enough food for several people with less than a full time job's worth of time, which seems to remain a correct statement.

out of curiosity, what is your setup like? Because all hydroponic indoor setups I've seen have been more for having some green sallad and herbs available, rather than feeding even a single person?

While this is true, I think those of us who have free time to spend are privileged and need to recognise that. If one has two jobs plus a family to care for, it's not a question of "going to the gym or gardening" but rather "doing laundry/cooking/other necessary household chores or gardening". In those situations it doesn't matter if gardening offers "free" exercise and recreation, because the time to do it is just not there.
