One of those guys I like. And enjoy hearing his arguments. Especially in regards to the big bang. I don't have an hour to watch this whole thing right now. The problem with people using math to show evolution is taking to long is just that. They are only complaining about the length of time. We can see evidence animals are changing and evolving all around us.
It's totally possible we have the mechanism wrong. Random chance mutation is probably not the only thing driving it.
For example we recently found evidence of genetic memory.
Behavior being passed down in a single generation as a result of external stimulus.
It's possible we are having in generation adaptions.
Random chance mutation is not how I would design evolution.
I would make it so that DNA could change and pass things down in a single generation and I would bet we will eventually discover something like that.

That's awesome. I don't think I have it in me right now to try another language. I've gone to absurd lengths to learn Chinese. And I still have a lot to learn . Korean would be on the top of my list of other languages. I think I like there more than Japan. And I've heard great things about it's writing system. They make good tv shows. The mix of Christian and bhudist culture along with creative freedom makes for interesting movies. Especially after life ones.
13$ seems cheaper than anything today. Felt like everything was priced like San Francisco.

I've about finished my time in Korea.
My opinion if it is this.
It's the asian country rich white people go to. Seems even more so than Japan.
I guess because you can use visa. And the roads have English names too.
Rich Chinese people love to go shopping there.
The mall might have been half Chinese women. Kinda sucks for China. All that money leaving because it's nicer and people would rather shop there.
Anyways, I didn't even attempt to say anything in Korean except thank you and hello.
China and even Japan are both waaaay cheaper for eating food.
Meal for 25 in China 125$.
Meal for 4 in Korea 125$.
People want to cook the food in front of you. But they don't expect tips. Weird.
Uber felt cheaper than united states.
People are not especially nice nor rude. About like America. With less drugs.

The people here in South Korea are much larger than Chinese people. Even north east China.

Maybe by weight. They are skinny. Usually with very little muscle.
I've seen a couple strong Chinese guys but it's much more rare here.
The north eastern Chinese are taller and thicker. Women have bigger breasts.
They call the ground in the north 黑土 . Black soil. Says it grows good food and stronger taller people . Seems to be true. Where pollution isn't so bad anyways.
I'm six foot and indeed there are many here taller than me. Not so in the south.
But their heads are all smaller. And even those much taller than me are much weaker. Exceptions exist but on average you know
I've lost two hats here and have been looking for a sun hat in multiple cities. None fit. No one seems to make those traditional bamboo cone hats anymore either.
Kinda unrelated but I've heard people say the average IQ here is 105. 5 points higher than America.

Pure Asian children do seem to have an amazing ability to sit in one spot without moving. My kids and other white or black kids in America do not have this ability. It would make sense this would help their test scores.
Testing has been a huge part of Chinese culture for centuries too. Those who test better would gain more wealth. Have more kids. Perhaps pass on this ability ? This isn't something Europeans really had in the same way.
We've had test but it wasn't the center of our lives. It still is in China. Every child devotes years to studying for the 高考。 College exam. And I mean years. Before that it was the government employee test
Moving and exploratory behavior also helps problem solving though.
The Chinese invented the compass. Only used it for moving furniture with feng shui. Then the Europeans came along and used it to dominate the world.
Chinese are also much less prone to physical violence.
They will get much closer and much more annoying and argue much longer before actually fighting one another. Even spitting on each other for five minutes or more
Two white people will resort to physical violence much quicker. And this is a constant deterrent to the annoying behavior that is accepted as normal in China.
For example someone might lean on your chair on a plane and not care if it is effecting your rest. Or get right against you in a elevator. Cut in line. Ect.

Natural moral laws only work in a cohesive society that developed them over a long period of time.
For example , I'm in China right now. The cities have almost no birds. Not a single pigeon. People ate all of them.
As soon as one appears. It's quickly eaten.
Near where I live in America is a bank intended for the poor. Set up by local Christians. It's usually loaded with wealthy Chinese and Indian immigrants looking to save a few pennies. People who make more money than the people who donated the food.

No car vending machines. The people are really curious. I can pretty much understand most talk. So I hear the weird shit . Like I was in a elevator and a woman and her daughter was behind me. The mom said to the daughter, "look, look at the foreigner! See baby? A foreigner." In the west that would be kinda racist . I just turn around smile and wave.
Some people come up to me and start speaking Russian. I tell them I can't speak Russian. Talk to me in Chinese or English. They might continue to talk in Russian in hopes I'm lying. They really want to practice their Russian I guess.
Cab drivers can be absolutely retarded. I was riding with my son and the driver kept saying USA USA. 我是USA人。（ I am USA person) then ,你ok 吗？ Just a total nonsense mix of random English words he's heard. Then kept screaming my son is so white. He's half Chinese. Scared my son.
The Uber drivers seem more mentally stable.
The mix of very uneducated villagers traveling with their young well educated children ( country developed fast last few decades) makes for some interesting interactions.
Children are often embarrassed at the questions their parents ask me. Which can be silly.
There is a stark contrast between the older generation, over 50 and the younger.
Water isn't very reliable. So we don't shower everyday here at home. Like every three days we all go to a public shower where the men and women separate and shower together.
My father in law asked me if we have such showers in the states and I said we all have showers at home. He pridefully said that these days many if not most Chinese too have in home showers and toilets. I say America never really had a time where homes had no showers or toilets so we don't have the public shower culture.

Middle aged women have no fear here. They will walk into traffic to cross the street no matter what. Car, truck, tiger, doesn't matter. They've seen it all. Live or die, they like to gamble. It's all a game of Majong to them. Once they cross the street and cheat death they smile as if they accomplished something huge with the extra 30 seconds they saved. Toss their lit cigarette, Urge me to ignore the red light and cross too.
Littering is normal. I would pick up used tickets my aunt dropped and she would take them out of my hand and throw them on the ground again.
No one wears seatbelts.
Grandma's have their grand sons pee openly in the grass not 10 feet from a empty bathroom.
Construction workers have no porta potties . So they will pee on their work truck and get back to work.
They are extremely curious. And will stare, take pictures. Ask questions and sometimes even touch.
They are very proud of how safe they feel here. Women can generally walk around alone in the midst of the night.
The poor people are not nessesarilly more dangerous like in the states.
It is mostly a high trust society.
In the north they are deathly afraid of a cold floor. If even a single step bare foot is placed on a hard indoor floor everyone in the room will scream to put on your indoor shoes or your foot will freeze, you will get sick. Winters here must be something terrible to inspire such fear of a cold foot.
Drinking is a culture unto itself. A younger man must tap his cup lower than his more respected peer when doing a cheers. He must wait until an elder drinks before he can himself drink his beer or liquor. One person generally pays for everyone and the next time another person will treat the group.
The women are incredible care takers who clean constantly , cook most impressively and pride themselves in how they direct, control and push their husbands into what ever direction they think best. Stubborn like a frozen tree. Absurd lengths will be taken not to spend one penny. Hard to accept different ways of approaching a problem because the group way is the safe way even if it makes the least sense to do it that way.
The children are generally more tame than American children.
A Chinese little girl will sit on a ride masked and not move at all for 20 minute. The parents all praise her. Saying 好乖！ Mean while my kids are kicking, moving, grabbing pigeons ect.
Many more observations.
It's an entirely different world.
Worth crossing off a bucket list.

So I'm hanging out in China this week. I've been curious about the great firewall.
Let'svpn right now works very consistently.
It's what most people need when traveling here and they want access to their emails. It's actually Chinese owned funny enough.
I'm running a shadowsocks proxy server at home and it took seems to work. Albeit slowly. Ok for checking Gmail. Good for a emergency.
I have read that the greatfire wall can detect them and block them. Basically it sees a stream of a consistent encrypted connection and then will prod the port and if it can't make sense of it, it will auto block it. Probably better to run it on port 443 and limit traffic. And maybe set up some method of returning a basic HTML page if the correct handshake isn't passed in. But they do deep packet inspection with AI so the handshake should look like a regular page click. im not sure how that would look.
So I only will use it for emergencies.
It is interesting. A regular international sim card seems to be able to connect to Google just fine.
So much trouble to separate this part of the Internet and you can just buy a SIM card in Hong Kong and watch YouTube videos again.
In regards to China life, China village life is better than American poor life in many ways.
Less policing for basic things. If you have to take a piss no one will care if you just piss on the side of the road or in a bush. I saw whole families pissing right outside a temple with police not 50 feet away.
I agree people shouldn't be locked up fined put on a registry for such a basic human function. As long as there is no Ill intent.
You can sell anything you want anywhere.
It's a high trust society. People will sleep out in the open at spa's. Both men and women. With zero security.
In America if you were to try that someone would walk up to you and do something terrible to you. Perhaps poor soda on your face. Or try to rape you in the dark.
Most places outside of wealthy circles just don't have that level of trust.
While freedom of speech isn't really thing here if you don't get into a fight or cause a lot of trouble you might feel there isn't any laws at all.
Packages don't come straight to people's homes. They go to a designated home where they get paid about 1cent per package. Less actually. Because streets still don't have names. Houses no numbers.
That would be a really easy problem for local governments and companies to solve but no one has done it yet. I guess because there has been such a huge migration out of villages the last 20 years.
