MTL fest 2023, впечатления
Вчера довелось побывать на МТЛ-фесте (https://mtlfest.me/). Фестиваль проводился в МТЛ-Сити буквально на стройплощадке, а подготовка к нему была полностью децентрализованной, по принципу “кому больше всех надо, хватает себе участок работы и делает”. Так что, разумеется, без накладок не обошлось, но свой эклектичный шарм фестиваль в результате реализации такого подхода, конечно, получил.
Повстречался мне живой Светов, пообщались, правда, книжку ему покуда вручить не удалось, все были слишком заняты. Зато Усанов не остался необилеченным. С ним ещё думаем отдельное видео записать. Мой уровень разговорного английского, к сожалению, не позволил мне уделить достаточно внимания англоязычным спикерам.
Собственное выступление на удивление удалось не зафакапить, спасибо Дэну Леснову за то, что заставил меня сделать два предварительных прогона. Правда, выступать сразу после Светова – это сомнительное удовольствие, потому что на него тут же вешается человек двадцать и принимается закидывать вопросами, он продолжает вещать, уходит подальше, и аудитория резко уменьшается.
Если смотреть на то, какие части фестиваля оказались более наполненными, а какие менее, то видно, что либертарианцы хорошо отточили навык проведения конференций и всяческой мелкой торговли: народ тусил преимущественно в лектории, на фудкорте и на ярмарке. А вот с музыкальным фестивалем эта тема, как выяснилось, слабо сочетается. Во-первых, громкая музыка мешала лекторию, а во-вторых, именно на диджейскую программу почти никто специально не ехал, и все предпочитали либо слушать спикеров, либо сидеть поодаль и общаться – а чтобы топтаться перед сценой – это, видимо, нужна совсем иная аудитория.
Как и следовало ожидать, сильно не хватало тени: целый день на открытом воздухе – это не для Черногории. Был момент, когда ощущалась близость теплового удара, пришлось постелить привезённую с собой пенку и поваляться в тенёчке. Также на фудкорте был некоторый перекос в сторону алкогольных напитков: предлагалось пиво, сидр и различные крепкие наливки, а кофе и морс – только в одной точке, куда стояла самая длинная очередь. Спасала привезённая с собой минералка.
Однако все эти небольшие шероховатости не отменяют главного: фестиваль прошёл очень бодро, приехало примерно 270 человек, состав спикеров для первого раза был выше ожиданий – а на нескольких площадках фест вообще описывали как ежегодный и уже далеко не первый. То есть ощущения скромного дебюта в воздухе не витало, фест сразу воспринимался как часть незыблемой традиции, это круто!

Hmmm. I think twitter touches more the tech people. But other sm platforms, that collects less tech related, but more people with general interest. Maybe nostrs value proposition as not that apparent.
