A warning for anyone thinking about uploading their original music to Suno:
I uploaded several songs I own while using the free plan. Suno kept only the first minute for me to work with, but permanently fingerprinted the recordings.
Later, I paid for Pro so I could upload and work with the complete songs. Suno now blocks them because they “match an existing recording” my own earlier uploads.
Support confirmed that deleting the uploads does not remove the fingerprints, and they currently have no way to verify ownership or override the block. Their suggestion was to use new material.
I asked them to escalate the issue or refund my Pro subscription, since I subscribed specifically to work on these songs. They never replied.
Their copyright system protects my music from me, while leaving me unable to use a feature I paid for. If you upload original recordings to Suno, be aware that you may permanently lose the ability to upload the full versions later.
I actually registered my music with years ago and have proof. Unfortunately suno is new and doesn't even allow submitting proof. They stated they will releasing this feature in the future. It's so annoying now I gotta wait a year or longer.
