Holy fucking shit. Mixtape is fucking insufferable. It would actually kill my nostalgia for the 80s, if the game even remotely reminded me of the era. I mean sure it was like 40 years ago, but you could have at least talked to someone who was alive then. Might have helped.

I've just seen Pragmata being called "Dad Space" and yes, I am totally there for that.
Jesus, I wanna play that game. But the inevitable heart break this game surely leads up to will kill me.

I cannot tell you how much I love that the process of
"my Linux distro suddenly booted into Gnome because I didn't realize a package I installed yesterday had all of Gnome as a dependency"
is referred to at

Each time I ask for advice with PC parts colleagues go "No wait a bit because there's soon that new GPU/GPU" or whatever and "no, prices are so high right now" acting as if prices aren't on a steady climb for what like 7, 8 years now?

Yo how fuckin pretty did this game get? I just loaded up a 5 year old save and my home planet in that world got a huge facelift (left = new; right = old). To be fair I am using a bit of a filter for the new one but GOD ... DAMN!

woah, that was fast (after the last RC)! Congratz on the release! It's been an amazing journey so far.

Currently there is some discussion about the adoption of Rust (the programming language) into the Linux kernel and some comments I read on BlueSky this morning about how kernel maintainers were "crybabies" and "racist" against a fucking programming language made me think I was back on Twitter.

"Regex is how I imagine eldritch horrors work.
You look at it and it makes no sense and it's scary.
As you stare, for a split second there is understanding. The universe expands before your eyes, reality unraveling.
Then the madness sets in."

Still a bit too early for my game to shine. Next year. You got my word on that. :)

"But you still can't run Adobe programs on Linux."
Bish, don't tease me with a good time.

Absolutely wonderful news! :)
My upcoming game will likely have VR support and there is a lot that will help me to make this possible. Thank you so much!

Me: Oh this Voyager-19 game looks super cool and creepy. I should buy it!
itch: You already bought this game 126 days ago.
... I need a vacation.

I have had nothing but good experiences on #Mastodon so far, but the comments to this post below is genuinely the level of low why I left Twitter.
Coincidentally it's also the same kinda crap that makes it so hard for people getting into the FOSS community. Cause it's the same BS there. Extremism in ANY direction is fucking awful.

This is (despite the Twitter-level comments) incredibly cool news. I have plans deploying to the Quest and this might be incredibly helpful in doing performance trial runs. Awesome job and thanks to all the devs!

Finished up the Magnet Wheels for Marble Game. Got three different sizes (as per usual) and hooked them up to a quick and dirty test setup. Works really well if I do say so myself. :)

I can't believe I am running kernel 6.9.7 already.
Part of me thinks it's all just a trick and if I rub off the paint it'll say 2.6.97.
(Unless you're a Linux user, this may not make sense. Kernel 2.6 was eternal. We all thought it would never go away and Linus would just bump the micro version number until the heat death of the universe).

See, the reason I enjoy winter so much compared to summer is how you approach temperatures:
In winter, I can put on as many layers of clothes, blankets as I like on top of putting on the central heating.
In summer... well, I can only get so naked. And using an AC just feels like doing the thing that got us here in the first place.

Just because we have not found aliens doesn't mean that they don't exist. As a result, just because we have not found space murder hornets, doesn't mean they don't exist!
EDIT: Space Murder Hornet would also be a good name for a band.
