I think it depends from my understanding. Load matching cuts both ways. Generate too much and grid voltage rises, too little and you get brownouts. The speed and accuracy of your ability to load match is what matters.
Batteries help on both sides if you float them mid charge. They can supplement when your generation falls short and sink power when generation runs hot. This is critical because large power plants don't start or stop quickly or cheaply.
Batteries win on speed. From what I have read speed is becoming more and more of an issue because loads they see are becoming more volatile. Data center loads are apparently a massive problem in that way.
You need a better nostr client, I only saw your reply, on an aggregator relay which means you did not post to any of my (4) relays. But I found it anyway because I run a feed of damus and primal and check it sometimes for kicks...

Folks, if you are using Apple devices, I strongly encourage you to update them to the latest supported version of iOS. And, when the 27 comes out as for general use, do that too. Not only security issues and legacy unsupported API on webpages may cause you pains, but 27 actually will make things faster and will support iPhone 11 and newer. There is absolutely no need to keep your device stuck on the old iOS that is missing ch less secure or efficient. Don’t buy into fud that new iOS makes your device slower on purpose.
After all, why shouldn't they be taken for the truth in the present?
