I'm very tempted to try it now finally. I *finally have proper system isolation, with wayland, systemd-nspawn, accelerated gui/audio passthrough.. so amazing.. And graphene too, every app is truly sandboxed. So now I don't flinch at 3000 rust crates or anything (or even tauri, npm, flutter, javascripts, whatever obvs, such as buzz). 🥹
I was using the web app, and then one day, it just lost all my keypackages, still had the coordinators and stuff (and I didn't clear anything). Anyways, now I learned.. I'm still somewhat trying to recover, something may be amiss.. I did generate all new keys, and got rid of the orphans and etc.. But it's not as smooth as before..

Hard to get everyone to adopt key rotation yeah.. PGP is the only thing that sort-of has built-in rotation, but does it really? It's just a new key, and an expiry to force people to go find the new key.. Bitcoin doesn't have it at all.. Etc.

I think best is to use a smart relay that does outbox for you. Optionally give it a key to use with auth, to signup for additional services and higher publishing rates, give it a VPN.. Then connect to that with one connection..
Its better, faster, stronger and still decentralized..

How would you go about to send a profile update everywhere? Is there another way?
should help, depends on how well that blastr works. blastr's I imagine, get flooded with all kinds of stuff and prob can't deliver on their promise.
I would have voted for: people get chased off by hundreds of bad actors spamming and harassing and they have no control over it and devs think it's not a problem cause it don't effect them.

I like it, let monero carry the zap beggers for a while 😅 zaps been tapped out, only so much euphoria we could get from zapping meaningless things. Payment targets are the way, like a Rolodex of your friends.. So we can lookup and send direct without these stupid, poorly designed public zaps.
Ok, I’ll investigate further, but we are in the process of moving to a more reliable and scalable backend, that will resolve all these potential quirks with the current one. I am not sure how or why it would not show, cannot repro. Maybe some cache artifact.
Weird, so I went again and still didn't see it. Looked hard. Then I switched to blossom->linked media, saw it there, then switched back, and it appeared.

Wot is not just one thing. Its invites, its payments, its nip05s its on-boarding. All stuff needs to be worked on. But you just keep being annoyed by the words.. While we watch even the people that are "first" have left because they couldn't control their experience on nostr and were chased away by purposeful bad actors.
