On the other hand, first-generation blockchains that set out with the promise of freedom have confused instrumentality with purpose, surrendering to the transparent panopticon of Wall Street and surveillance states. On a traceable chain, an inequality where 1 Unit ≠ 1 Unit has emerged; fungibility, the most fundamental characteristic of money, has been violated.
