Sure, we are paying the price for it now and probably ever, as it will surely slow down Bitcoin growth, someone (person or company) opting to get an ETF (or worst a MSTR and co) will not do any effort to own Bitcoin on-chain properly and thus will not push scarcity as much as it would be.
