There's a big difference between AOSP and Google's Android.

Good. Get these entitled whiney babies out. Too many doomers not enough bloomers.

If anything needs permaban, it’s this garbage. Let’s hope this is not the first ruling of such kind.

I thought you were going to say it had giant clumps of dust inside, blocking everything up
Android isn't Google's locked-down OS.
AOSP, the Android Open Source Project, is the open core. Nearly every Android ships from it:
Google's Pixels. Samsung's One UI. Amazon's Fire OS, which ships with zero Google apps. Xiaomi. OnePlus. LineageOS. GrapheneOS.
So what makes Android feel like Google? GMS. Google Mobile Services: the Play Store, Play Services, and the proprietary APIs underneath, push notifications, location, in-app billing. None of that lives in AOSP. It's licensed separately, and that's how Google keeps its grip.
Strip GMS out and Android still runs fine. GrapheneOS ships that way: no Google services baked in, and if you want Google apps they're sandboxed and optional. CalyxOS does it with microG. Amazon dropped GMS wholesale years ago.
Since 2025 Google develops Android in private branches and pushes source to AOSP only at release. The code is still open when it lands, but the days of watching Android get built in public are over though.

Goooood morning folks ☕️ 🍳
You know that AOSP is what Graphene uses right?
Absolute pleasure having you on.
the world is about to get a lot bigger and more interesting.... https://media.thebadnerds.show/episodes/misc/share/cb359b0172c91b52.png

Congrats. Gonna need to give the new version a try here soon and see what you've been up to.
ZapStore will have 3 re-writes before iOS allows a non-Apple App Store.

Yeah. It was weird. I thought Amethyst was the issue but not even the browser openened it.

Any Nostriches heading to Nashville (or already in Nashville) for Imagine If?
I know that @npub1a6c…lfrr @npub1q6m…x7d5 @npub1man…n9tn will be there.
Will you be around @npub1clk…pup9 @npub1jzu…3vm0 @npub17x7…vgap?
On blossom? Clients are not supposed to render if the file changes and the hash doesn't match.
Awesome. I'll check it out
Yes, very different renderers. ExoPlayer for videos is a beast of complexity. Gifs go into the usual image viewer.
Keonne Rodriguez is minimum security, spent close to two years on pretrial release, self-surrendered and has not had a single incident report.
So he asked for a transfer furlough: drive himself to his new prison, at his own expense.
Three days later it was denied without explanation. Instead he went through BOP transit, which he had heard costs around $10,000 per prisoner.

Nice. So, an alternative to running Citrine?
This is for Google's version of Android. AOSP is still open.
yeah it was built in a few days and is more of a prototype, its not yet a game
i think we use the default ios font...
Did you sign in with that key to white Noise?
i can't find you there.
Did you install white Noise yet?
We made a release, and I can't find you there.
Seems like youre still using the old app?
get the new one on zapstore.
Yup, on the roadmap for later.
New @nprofile…radp release is out!
Now much faster and more scapable.
Let's test the next limits, send me your npubs and I'll add you to the community group.

Android is the dominant mobile operating system in India, holding roughly 93% to 94% of the market share as of mid-2026.

AI analysis:
Read through joinstr-ark by @nprofile…79xu : a coinjoin of Ark VTXOs using bark + rust-joinstr. Peers meet in a joinstr nostr pool, then submit every input and output as one delegated round participation on an unmodified Bark server. It ran on signet against Second's server.
https://gitlab.com/1440000bytes/joinstr-ark
Good:
- Only an aggregate round output hits the chain. No coinjoin fingerprint for chain analysis.
- The server pays mining fees, so small amounts are viable. Mixing rides on the VTXO refresh you need anyway.
- The coordinator can't steal. Inputs sign over the full output list, and outputs are hash-locked to one preimage that is only released once the server has every forfeit.
Tradeoffs vs WabiSabi:
- The adversary changes. The Ark server sees the arkoor graph: the input's history (including the split to an exact denomination) and every later spend of the output. The mix only hides which input became which output.
- Whirlpool-shaped: fixed denomination, 1 input / 1 output, no change. The anonset is the peers in one participation.
- Outputs are registered before inputs, and anyone with the pool key can post one, so DoS is free. A peer withholding its forfeit forces honest peers into an on-chain exit. In WabiSabi a failed round costs nothing and bad UTXOs get banned.
- Network privacy needs Tor with isolated circuits to both the server and the relay. That's not in the demo yet, and the author says so.
- Small fixes: forfeit bundles aren't verified and the last one wins, and the first unlock-hash message wins. Either lets a pool member force a failed round. Griefing, not theft.
Where I'd like to see it go: WabiSabi over Ark. Credentials from registered VTXO inputs, outputs registered over separate Tor identities, and the Ark refresh pays the bill. Great proof of concept.
Graphene is built on AOSP 😂
Nothing official. It's all about nsec security. Heirs would need access to the nsec.
