It isn’t.
It is still fiat vs Bitcoin.
Web2 vs Web3.
Trusted intermediaries vs verifiable systems.
AI simply accelerates both sides of an argument that was already there.
More scanners.
More audits.
More compliance layers.
More security teams.
More AI watching the AI.
Those are moats around the legacy architecture. They can reduce individual risks, but they do not remove the underlying dependency on centralized trust.
And every additional moat disproportionately benefits the incumbent that can afford to maintain it.
Bitcoin changed the first principle:
Don’t make trust more sophisticated. Replace the trust assumption with verification and proof of work.
That is where the loop eventually closes.
Not AI attacking Bitcoin.
Not AI defending Bitcoin.
Legacy systems discovering, one expensive patch at a time, why Bitcoin was designed the way it was.
AI is the accelerator.
Proof is the upgrade.
