But when women make up roughly half the Australian workforce and only a small minority of engineering professionals and managers, perhaps the problem deserves something more substantial than another morning tea.
YOU CANNOT FIX A STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING PROBLEM WITH A POWERPOINT ABOUT INCLUSION.
Recruit them.
Pay them fairly.
Retain them.
Give them technical authority.
Promote them.
And judge their engineering on what actually works.

So much of the software infra today is unprepared for agentic development. App stores are the worst. I mean, all the UI and processes are designed for single app development and updates. Very few are even considering bulk app management, rollout and maintenance. It's a bid strange, considering a person can now ship 10-20 apps in no time.
