La dette de la France — Pourquoi on va droit dans le mur un peu plus vite chaque année ❓
Quand la France emprunte 100 milliards sur 10 ans, elle paie les intérêts chaque année, puis doit rendre les 100 milliards à la fin.
Mais l’État n’a généralement pas ces 100 milliards de côté. Alors il emprunte à nouveau pour rembourser l’ancien emprunt.
C’est ce qu’on appelle « faire rouler la dette ».
Pendant des années, la France empruntait à des taux proches de 0 %. Aujourd’hui, c’est plus de 4 % à 10 ans.
Petit à petit, les vieilles dettes presque gratuites sont donc remplacées par des dettes beaucoup plus chères.
Et comme la France reste en déficit budgétaire, elle continue d’ajouter de la dette à la dette.
Résultat : on emprunte plus, à un prix plus élevé. Et chaque année, la facture des intérêts grossit.

The best way to help the working poor is not by printing a bunch of money or welfare entitlements. It's by the formation of wealth.
Wealth is not the amount of money someone has to their name. Rather, it is the amount of goods and services available to the population. The greater wealth, the better.
And how do you get wealth? Through free trade, free markets, free immigration, and the private ownership of the means of production. Y'know, the very things the statists don't like.
