Yea the first time I saw this I was pretty surprised
the other thing it "quietly" does is use a cuban bitcoin mint as default, which will get any custodied wallet frozen. they recently merged a PR of mine that changes this, so if you already have routstrd installed and want to use a custodial lightning wallet, might want to update.
I'm a routstr fan; this is not a knock on the product, just a caution to US-based custodial wallet users.

This is NOT how you're supposed to hike, in steel toed work shoes and jeans, but that was what I was wearing when I snapped out of it (I accidentally wore these home on Friday, leaving my daily driver shoes at work).
By "snapped out of it" I mean that I've been going through a nasty rough patch lately, living like a real piece of shit. Eating garbage, not exercising, drinking on weekends sometimes. Bear Market of the Soul vibes.
I suppose I could try to explain it away with the fact that my mother died in August but let's be real, this started well before then. I've become fat and lethargic over the past year and no doubt the new job I took last September has something to do with that, but it's no excuse. My wife's been going through a similar thing, but that's not my story to tell.
A couple hours ago I was hit with one of those slap-you-in-the-face, what-the-hell-are-you-doing-with-your-life moments. This is not the way. You need to wrench yourself out of this, and you need to be the pillar of strength that your wife can grab hold of to pull herself out of it too.
So I left the house and just started walking. Luckily there's a small mountain nearby in the middle of the city, so I'm doing a 14k loop that'll take me around the backside, then all the way up, then back down and home. It's a start.
I've been staring into the abyss for a long time without realizing it. Time to look forward.

Emberfall Update:
- Added a lot of missing sounds
- New sound themes and dialogs in act 2 town
- Environment-aware footstep sounds
- Cleaned up all act 2 dungeons and caves so they are nice now
- Lots of VFX added throughout many places (not all though)
- Reworked mobile UI
- Ran extensive mobile optimization (probably more work needed still)
- Added rune and gem bags
- Added an intro cinematic to the game (sucks, but better than nothing)
- Reworked the storyline to move into act 2 town with all the quests shifting to new town

5. Possibly rename the game to something else, not really feeling Emberfall... seems passive and weak.

Thanks, I'll take a look at their repo to see how they are doing it. What I was thinking was to let the AI search page talk to any server that speaks the standard chat API. You'd run a local gateway with your provider key in its config, and paste its localhost address into a field on the search page, or something like that.
I hadn't heard of buzz. It's really interesting to me as it seems to be about AI agent identity. This is something I've thinking a lot about in connection with inkan, because inkan provides the ability not just to give AI agents identity, but also to make it durable, and to make AI identities accountable to identities of human principals.
I asked my AI search whether buzz has a nostr handle, but other than a bot nothing came up ...
That gives the past its due without giving it a veto. We can honour what earlier generations achieved, retire what has exhausted its usefulness, and remember that our own breakthroughs will eventually need the same judgement.
