Yeah sorry I honestly didn't expect this to take off like this 😅 I'm not sure how to help as I'm not modifying the users files at all. Virtually all music files contain metadata about the contents though, the app reads it to create the Nostr events.

You can either import an existing mnemonic, such as from Blitz or Wallet of Satoshi, or generate a default wallet which is derived from your nostr keys, and loads instantly after you log out and back in.
I haven't implemented download yet, but you can get a direct link to the file from the share menu. It's on the roadmap, but I want to get it right.

...i say "no different than any other charity"... except it also couldn't be more different. There is next to zero middleman involved here. There's _nothing_ stopping the OSS team from being its own arbiter. As long as the funders trust the team enough to not rug them, this would mean 2 of the 3 roles are played by the developers, and the last role is played by the funder(s) - which is to say: Direct community-funded software, no 501c-whatever nudging in between.

There's enough music that discovery need to be worked on now. I'm going to make pinning more accessible, and add a random pinned music section to the explore page. So people can highlight their favorites. Will work well with a community only toggle I think. A list of the favorite songs from your follows and followers.

when i go to plebian.market now on a different machine I don't see the order anymore...
i'll have to hit it from my other machine where I first visited/ordered. not sure what's going on. you did get the zap, right?

Can you read the media headers? Id3 for mp3 etc? That will at least tell you what the for is tagged as.
