I particularly liked the twisting of the phrase "not out of reach, but out of spite." It's a reasonable enough sentence on its surface, but the abrupt shift of the meaning of "out of" midway through adds to the sense that things are not what they initially seem around here.

The gravity of unseen dark matter is the leading explanation for why galaxies rotate so fast , why galaxies orbit clusters so fast , why gravitational lenses so strongly deflect light, and how visible matter is distributed.
