Well I'm hardly an expert, just an interested amateur who can barely manipulate bras and kets, but I lean towards Everett's Many Worlds.
It's the austerity that appeals to me. There's no extra bullshit; no wave function collapse, no hidden variables, it's just the Schrödinger equation and nothing more, besides a willingness to take it truly seriously.
Simplicity. Occam's Razor.
That makes sense. But then, would better quality infrastructure improve things? Outbox should make decentralisation easier, but is it really feasible to ask people to run their own personal relays?
Also there's another thing very bad in this space besides breaking user space
Most people in the developer world should unlearn a few things vcs/fintechs etc taught them.
A lot of user facing errors gets ignored for months/years
The companies I worked for always taught me that I should stop everything I'm doing when a user reports a error, but what I see in this space is people making errors low priority and fixing them only after months/years
As a example flutter has a lot of issues and they never fix them because someone set a low priority to it

I’m not sure if you understood what I wrote?
As much as I love #nostr I think one of the biggest issues that needs addressing is the poor loading of accounts and notes.
For instance, on Amethyst just now (my go to client even above my own) I loaded a profile to see who'd written a note, because their profile pic and name won't resolve, and lo & behold, the profile view shows no more info amd just 7 notes and 2 replies load.
That's on a perfectly fast Internet connection on a perfectly capable device on what is arguably the most comprehensive nostr client.
What's the cause?
Let's surely solve those issues before getting in to arguments over changes that break things at the protocol level.
If I introduced anyone else to this ecosystem now they'd see that happening and give up. 2 people I brought here already have.
I don't think they'd give two flying fucks if replies to kind 1 notes are also kind 1 or kind 1111. It's unimportant.

Thanks, that's a great catch! I tried to fix it, when that happens now, the model is now made aware that the value was probably the wrong kind, so it should correct course. You can go to Settings > General > Check for updates to get the new version of the app, or just do [ctrl/cmd] + shift + R.
