I trust a pi more than esp32 with custom codes. Because it has two decades of hardening for security in the Linux kernel.
Then you need to go turn off the computer and touch some grass for about a week and come back when the emotions have leveled out.

That weird hypocrisy when
you pay way too much attention to Monero
while simultaneously claiming that nobody cares....
Nation states already know that Monero is the default currency for people that need to make censorship resistant exchanges.
But you could be right that it's not big enough to warrant a full out attack. We DO know however that they are deploying high numbers of spy nodes. Since active attacks are extremely expensive, it's logical to attempt passive surveillance.
We know *somebody* is watching.
So there's that.
And the "cryptospace" is speculative investors interested in Fiat NGU.
People in the *cryptography space* care about Monero.
Get your head on straight.
I heard many reports of the device being bricked by the firmware. I would probably wait some time before resuming use of the cold card and/or find some good guides and use the roll dice technique.
As far as I can tell, all the "footguns" have been people not rolling the correct amount of entropy and sticking with 10 dice rolls or something.
Another foot gun would be using a computer to roll dice or making up dice roll numbers yourself.
Just don't cheat. Don't generate your key on device and then also introduce only 5 or 10 dice rolls that apparently was another bug in the cold card at some point, which led to entropy being based on only the 5 or 10 dice rolls.
Here's a basic tutorial sheet. It's 4 pages, print it out, maybe get a magnifying glass 😜 and take the time to do this a few times before doing it for real if you need to.

Yeah I'm with you on that.
It's sort of the same question as whether aliens will be good, bad or neutral. I'd like to think that good creates more value in the long term and rational "beings" realize that.
Because he’s fake and ghey.
@npub16ye…g4wn concord protocol has no deniability right? If there’s no deniability, disappearing messages seems kinda pointless. One non-standard client can screw you. With deniability, a non-standard client saving messages isn’t nearly as harmful.

Well I guess that is the only way. Words do not matter anymore
What was the reason?
I am also having doubts about Francis ... something does not add up there.
At this point Nazis look way less problematic than those in charge.
At least we all have each other. #frens

If you can afford a psychotherapist, it means you can afford to travel. Choose wisely. https://npub1njazsude53reg6e7jmz6jvvgyamf5twca93sn3px3yhxpsp9yakqwaf3t9.blossom.band/b15fac89ca018505b9c747706e67c69b661e4d2b10cb3d097eb63d620bfba53d.jpg
If you have a mentality that is assume the best. You can never work in info-sec..

The difference is Monero is backed by fundamental soundness, the technology has been tested in the real world use in both spending, and defending from attacks.

They're not doing this to be responsible. They're doing it for sympathy points. It's a grift, but a (sort of) helpful one.

Fable 5 is seriously dumber now. Time to switch to Qwen?
Wow. Shit is getting real.
I don’t think Damus is still actively developed.
Rotate the LND macaroons like this:
```
sudo su -
docker exec btcpayserver_lnd_bitcoin rm -f /data/*.macaroon
docker exec btcpayserver_lnd_bitcoin rm -f /data/data/macaroons.db
docker exec btcpayserver_lnd_bitcoin rm -f /data/data/chain/bitcoin/mainnet/macaroons.db
docker exec btcpayserver_lnd_bitcoin rm -f /data/data/chain/bitcoin/mainnet/*.macaroon
docker restart btcpayserver_lnd_bitcoin
Network states aren’t coming—they’re *already here*, but not as we imagined. They’re the ungoverned, decentralized collectives forming around shared values, not borders. The real question isn’t *which* one you belong to, but *how many* you’re willing to abandon to join.
The punch: You can’t opt into a network state.
Balaji’s network state isn’t sci-fi—it’s the quiet unbundling of sovereignty. Every Nostr relay, every Lightning node, every self-hosted identity is a micro-fragment of jurisdiction, opting out of legacy systems. The state isn’t disappearing; it’s being re-assembled by code, capital, and consent. Proof?
