I depleted my stack last year but I'm stressing vicariously for us all. When I started I got a trezor with the intention of upgrading to a cold card once I got my shit together 😱

Mas usando uma boa passphrase presumo que pode-se dizer que isso é remediado.

No meu caso eu usava tails, mas desde que comecei a rodar meus nodes, me pareceu melhor, usar a carteira do próprio node mesmo, mais prático e não tão menos seguro. Daí pra gerenciar melhor as chaves e tudo mais criei a minha carteira que conectar ao node rodando na minha rede, a carteira é uma implementação que considero a melhor implementação do bip84 com segregação por contas, com uma seed você consegue criar diferentes contas cada conta para uma origem, assim fica mais prático fazer segregação por origem sem ficar gerenciando endereços na mão e etc. A carteira também gerência automaticamente a não reutilização de endereços e garante que nenhum endereço com uma transação de saída(já expos a chave pública) seja usado para receber saldos, além de fazer consolidação de UTXO automaticamente para garantir que senhum saldo fique em endereços com chave pública exposta.
Dá até pra bolar estratégias bem legais de contas vazias e etc, pois o app sincroniza as contas na importação da carteira até achar uma conta que não possui saldo e usa isso como ponto de parada, ou seja, dá pra criar uma conta "escondida" que só aparece se criada manualmente, não irá aparecer em nenhum app mesmo se alguém conseguir sua seed, vai precisar adivinhar que só tem saldo na conta 5 ou sei lá kkk todos os apps hoje fazem importação utilizando como padrão a conta 0 na derivação de chaves e contas.
Isso aliado a passphrase e tudo mais pra mim é o top em praticidade e segurança.
Além disso no app dá pra criar carteiras na testnet e ficar brincando/estudando, só que é lento se não tive um node pessoal configurado, pois nesse caso é usada a api pública da mempool.
Sobre a entropia, a biblioteca que lida com as transações, derivação de chaves e etc eu mesmo implementei, mas usei a biblioteca mais consolidada que existe no typescript pra isso, não me atrevo nem a pau escrever uma criptografia/entropia pseudo aleatoriedade e etc eu mesmo, Usei a lib mais usada e consolidada para essas coisas que geralmente usam o método getRandomBytes() exposto pelo sistema operacional e etc... isso é mais que suficiente e aliado a uma passphrase boa remedia qualquer problema de software.

the real risk for Bitcoin investors is high time preference mindset.
Bitcoin requires taking time and doing research to understand how it works. its complicated and multi-faceted. for the average non tech person (such as me), it requires reading books and/or hours of listening to trustworthy podcasts.
if someone doesn't want to invest time to do research on something that is completely out of their realm of knowledge, they will likely get rekt.
so if you're onboarding a newbie, the first lesson is helping them shift to a low time preference mindset.
I have never successfully onboarded anyone because the people i meet are only focused on ngu and not interested in learning the "why". if you don't know "why", you'll never understand why doing something like rolling dice 100x is important.
so yeah.... that's why dice rolling is hard.
