I realize there's a strong presumption among the Nostr community that this kind of thing doesn't work. But as a matter of fact it works quite well. I've been using it for many months now.

I find the branding by political party a bit weird to be honest. And not being there, am sure I don't understand those issues well enough but much of the immigration is definitely not a natural affair. I can say that being in Costa Rica because I saw the bus convoys heading north a few years ago so there was lots of money and intent rather than spontaneous. Regardless on anyone's politics, that will always cause division in a nation that has social safety nets

Republicans are always asking what if that aborted baby was the next Einstein or going to cure cancer. Somehow they never ask if that toddler being arrested and deported by ICE without any legal representation or adult lined or to care for them where they end up is going to end up trafficked instead of curing cancer or being the next Einstein.

Interesting. I've been considering pellets as my more sovereign winter heat. 10% or less of the electric use of my heat pumps so battery and solar goes a lot farther during extended outages and low winter production.
My specific thinking was that pellets are a waste product. That means theoretically less competition to buy them like heating oil could be driving an Amazon tractor trailer for example. I'm making assumptions that those affects will make it more stable and available.
Of course insulation and air sealing also buys comfortable time without power and I'm working on that too.
