In a sense, it's a server, in another sense, it's more like a client. It talks to you over the relays (which are the servers).

Cordn is 100% decentralized.
Every chat room in cordn has it's own coordinator, every coordinator has it's own set of relays you can contact it on. I have 4 different coordinators, across 17 chats.
Some with more than 40 members, others with less, some with bots doing their own things. I run my own coordinator and I use other's coordinators. I can invite anyone in any of these chat rooms between any of these other chatrooms on any coordinators. I can even automate this with welcome agents, or etc.
In a way, this is "Highly Available" MLS, and to completely put the nail in the coffin of the fud you are spreading here, eventually the UI will make it even easier to switch between different coordinators if they are offline or moved.
Every MLS member must apply the same "Commits" in the same order to keep the same keys, so the coordinator gives each group a fixed message order.
It only stores and passes on sealed MLS bytes; it never holds any group keys.

Well your replies in this thread are all kind1, which is the most compatible across clients. I’m not exactly sure how Amethyst determines which format to use. I just made sure Sidecar can read either one.
We used to just have one color for account backgrounds purple.
Then we got Dark Mode.
Now we have many theme based colors.
