I have argued for years that P/L and cash are real money and that their paper mark-to-model results are bullshit.
Let’s not even get into the fact that cash in dollars isn’t real money - but that’s there as well.
Bottom line - insurance companies and pensions are standing on absolute shams of actuarial opinion. They are backed by assumptions and when they are lucky enough to realize them - they are exposed to the perpetual bleed of fiat currency.

I think the why people abandon Nostr and Bitcoin is in my opinion, it's because they don't truly understand the purpose behind these protocols. When it comes to Bitcoin, people often jump on the bandwagon when the price is skyrocketing, but as soon as the hype dies down, they lose interest. It's a classic case of NGU syndrome.
As for Nostr, I believe people initially see it as a Twitter alternative, but they soon realize it's a different beast altogether. Unlike Twitter, Nostr doesn't have an addictive algorithm that feeds them content. Instead, users need to actively seek out and follow the people they're interested in. Unfortunately, many people aren't used to taking control of their feed, and as a result, they quickly lose enthusiasm. If they don't make an effort to follow others, their feed remains empty, and they abandon ship.
It's a shame, because both Nostr and Bitcoin have so much more to offer beyond their surface-level appeal. But until people take the time to understand the underlying principles and values, they'll continue to jump from one shiny object to the next, never truly experiencing the benefits of these innovative protocols.
Now it's time to go back to the basics and theach the reality of this tools, Bitcoin is freedom and uncensorship money when we self custody it, and nostr is the uncensorship speech!
The lesson here is, when people get in my the wrong reasons they will leave as fast as they joined!

People are a bit confused about mica stablecoin regulation. While I think whole MiCA should be rejected as a whole, we have options.
The way I understand it is that Brussels does not like competition in money printing, so they disallowed stablecoins that are not EUR based and EUR based have to be printed in concert with Brussels-Frankfurt. But we are already printing both dollars and euros in the cyphersphere.
What this could mean in practice is ban on offering stablecoins on exchanges for European union customers and ban for businesses accepting these stablecoins.
Here comes a solution. People often confuse payment network and what is sent through the payment network. You can send USD or eur through visa payment network. You can send USDT through Ethereum, Liquid, ... The confusion is with Bitcoin, there is both Bitcoin payment network and Bitcoin as a unit.
I've long said that the best stablecoin is a short position on bitcoin coupled with the bitcoin. For an interesting trust minimized implementation, see DLC channels in @get10101.
So how does this relate to stablecoins? You can have a stabilized position denominated in USD, but still pay with lightning. Merchant does not have to accept stablecoin, if you want to spend stable value. This is between you and your wallet. You can send$100 over lightning - you go long (exiting the short position) and sent SATs worth $100. If the merchant wants to keep it in dollars, they can open a short, but that's the merchant's problem.
Lightning is uniquely positioned to do payments in this way. Settlement is instant and even the position exit and enter can be atomic. No other crypto payment network can do this. I've written about this feature in Orange Flash of Freedom, or see @npub1ey6…szvp's blog (links in reply).
Another advantage of this way of value stabilization is that there a natural interest rate (called a funding rate). You should be paid for shorting Bitcoin. Well, should is a strong word, but you usually are, because people will pay to go long on Bitcoin.
I think whatever camp you are in, if you like stablecoins here or there, if you want BTC only, or if you are into alts, lightning is what connects it all.

1）中国的产能要找到出路，欧盟，美国这边关系可能要想办法改进。要把外贸瘸了，就业受影响。
2）跨越中等收入陷阱，搞高科技，搞附加值，探月什么的，5G，大模型都要快搞，向全球输出高科技。不能看到富士康搬走了，就慌了，低附加值机会就是造成中等收入陷阱的根源。
3）建立社会公平，这一点非常非常重要，你比如要追缴税款，那就全国同一力度，否则力度弱的地区，就会占便宜，形成竞争优势，造成守规矩的反而倒霉。再比如有些富人，利用资本，信息优势，大肆炒作，放假消息扰乱市场，这样要严厉打击，不能再罚酒三杯了。
