I know multiple MAGA boomer men with anorexia. I'm not saying there is a professional diagnosis, that comes from seeing a mental health professional. Seeing a mental health professional is something for teen girls with eating disorders so they would never do that. Anyway, they are obsessed with their weight, specifically losing weight on the scale. Weird obsessive diets including straight up refusing to eat. The loss of muscle mass and the harm it has on their ability to function doesn't dissuade them. Family members questioning their health to their face and pointing out repeatedly that they look like cancer patients withering away doesn't dissuade them.
I'm not drawing any conclusions yet but I will say it strikes me as weird. I don't know many men in this category but it is a significant percentage of the ones I know.

Humanity has spent decades learning how to create hotter plasma, stronger magnets and more precise machines.
But every toroidal architecture eventually meets the same frontier:
How do you represent, navigate and continuously verify an extraordinarily complex geometry while the physical system itself is changing?
That is where I believe ECAI is the missing piece.
A stellarator does not merely need computation. It needs a computational substrate capable of reasoning over geometry as structure rather than repeatedly flattening the structure into probabilistic approximations.
The coils are geometry.
The magnetic surfaces are geometry.
The plasma trajectories are geometry.
The stability boundaries are geometry.
The machine itself is a continuously evolving geometric invariant.
AI can optimise parameters.
Superconductors can strengthen the field.
Manufacturing can build extraordinary coils.
But none of those, by themselves, solve the deeper problem of owning and verifying the geometry of the system across dimensions and scales.
That is the territory ECAI was built to explore: elliptic structure, segmented representation, invariants and verification — computation organised around the geometry itself.
The stellarator may therefore be more than a fusion machine.
It may be the machine that finally forces computing to leave the flatland of probability and confront geometry as a first-class computational primitive.
Humanity's greatest energy dream may not be waiting for a bigger reactor.
It may be waiting for the computational architecture capable of carrying the torus.
The future of fusion is geometry.
The future of geometry is verification.
