I send him articles that he doesn't read. He sees an article as too long and wordy to read and get to the point, but I feel that way about videos. I don't want to listen to somebody blab for 20 minutes when the whole concept can be condensed into an article that I can skim in less than five minutes.

Not at all, I was only asking. And yes you can absolutely do this with dice and coins, in fact I have done so before; but I have discovered this trick on my own and I'm not aware of other methods doing so.
About the dice comparison, I think tiles are more accessible and less prone to biases, which is why I picked this method at the end (it used to be coins). It is true that you need to print & cut the tiles, but you're going to need a printer for the wordlist anyway, so I like that it is not introducing any additional requirements.
At the end, people will use what they have according to their preference, and since the biases I mentioned are not large enough to create exploitable security risks, it's more a matter of polishing & optimization.

As long as you understand how the pieces need to fit together you can code with AI and create something without having to spend hours searching stack overflow and Google to get a particular line of code right.
I like articles because I can quickly skim to pick out the salient points.
I learned a bit here and there but wasn't very skilled or knowledgeable. I learned enough about how software is put together though that now I'm able to use AI to create more sophisticated software than I was ever capable of creating on my own.
It's ok I send him articles that he doesn't read.
AI may replace more and more of the things we used to do ourselves, but it won't make having had experience in a certain field irrelevant.
Two people can have access to the exact same AI and still have vastly different capacities.
The one who knows what to do, what to look for, and what can go wrong will still have the edge.
A friend of mine is always sending me videos that I never watch.

As a clarification, my bias figures are rough estimates of the worst-case scenario for coins, dice, and tiles under good shuffles/throws. Someone correctly pointed out that not every coin or die will be as bad; but it's also easy to underestimate biases because it's generally twice what you'd intuitively expect. (e.g., a 52/48 coin has a 4% bias and generates only ~96 bits of entropy over 100 throws.)
The reason tiles (and cards alike) have a better safety profile is simple: low-quality coins/dice can be severely imbalanced, while the quality of a deck of tiles/cards has much less impact on the randomness of the draw. Moreover, the elements of a given deck are much easier to audit than the balance of a given coin or die.
Now, to be clear, even a 20% bias would still result in an unbreakable 12-word seed phrase. You'd still have 102.4 bits of entropy, plus 11 additional bits of security from BIP39 key stretching. But my goal with Penlock was to identify and deliver the method that best combines UX and security, and I believe paper tiles are it.
Wow, Linux and Nostr is so much better if you redo it all from scratch the way you want with AI.
