You mean for the contributions he made long ago? We will always remember him for that.
But since then he has obviously turned into a baf actor.
Just because you once were good that does not stop you from turning bad.
See Idi Amin 🤣
Linux has had days where hundreds of CVEs come up at once for a while. I reposted times it's happened before. It's not so unique.
I'll get heat for this but I don't believe in the David vs. Goliath narrative people have for Linux as some sort of bastion against 'big tech'. It's one of the most used OS/kernels in the world, mostly by big tech and their employees motivate most of its development. It's only because it's open source.
I think if people cared enough about competition they'd invest it into improving things like Qubes OS, Secureblue (a novel hardened Linux distribution) or a jump to newer OSes like making Redox OS more available to people.
The hardware macOS runs on is far more secure than other laptop/desktop platforms and macOS is the only OS available for it which uses most of the hardware-based security features. The issue is you're completely hard locked on Apple then. Choosing a desktop OS today is a losing battle.
Desktop OSes in general fall behind on adding security design / features that have been researched for decades. Linux distributions are incredibly behind on this and no one should be expected to configure things like SELinux to make it comfortable. Linux is a gigantic monolithic kernel written almost entirely in a memory unsafe language. It's good to have many vulns but having hundreds discovered over days will become unsustainable.
A lot of the mobile OSes started development decades after the desktop, there was far more research on secure OS design by that point and so a better foundation to run on.
Armodafinil used as a nootropic makes a lot of sense. It's usually sold as 150mg pills (which is too heavy IMO, 1/4 is perfect). Works well when taken on an empty stomach + 10 mins later eat something (without overeating, otherwise the opposite effect might be possible). Some brands may suck (specifically, Artvigil caused side effects for me, while Waklert worked with no issues). If you'd give it a try, I'm no doc and all this, take care of reading the listed side effects, and, just in case, prepare whatever is needed to cope with an activated chronic illness if you have it (there might be some unobvious connection with it); drink more water than usual. This one works nothing like coffee; there's no crazy heart rate in particular, just prolonged deep focus. Ideally, don't mix with coffee. A prescription is relatively easy to obtain in the US if needed, AFAIK. In some locations it's not licensed and not controlled (not sold in pharma stores but legally available on online markets without prescription). Microdosing LSD is not effective, at least in my experience.
I hardly ever drink cider but funnily enough I'm just drinking my 6th can of Strongbow of the evening/Early hours😬😂.

Even if half of those are meaningless AI slop that gets immediately discarded, thats still wild
Graphene OS
It's surprisingly functional, when paired with USB keyboard & mouse
Yeah, I love the qubes concept and even being a person who is like in the 90th percentile in terms of tech knowledge I found it way too painful to use.
Новый Городок анонимный чат!😃
datum users mine on their own block templates, 95%+ of hashrate on OCEAN uses datum
the OCEAN default template was announced to signal for 110 prior to the split (flipping bit4). The confusion during the split was which chaintip that template chose to mine on. some thought it would have been signaling bit4 on the antpool chaintip since it became longer; OCEAN announced they got refunded a few days later
I think it needs more taken away from it. Call me cruel.. 😏
You can technically do whatever you want with dom0.. 🤷♂️
Qubes is all about tradeoffs though and making dom0 a vegetable is one end of the spectrum.

I do get a fairly full lunar eclipse on the morning of the 28th. It's peak will be at 420. Might have to get up early and burn one to a Blood Moon 🌝

Y'all planning to unleash the clankers across #GrapheneOS too?
Also this:

It wasn't the Linux kernel developers who filed for the CVE entries. They never do. How do I know? I reported a vuln once (an LPE if I recall correctly).
Someone wants to pad their resume so they can get a job in the security field.
And you know what, if they're making open source software more secure in the process, more power to 'em.
Yes, just read the supplementary comments, but I hadn't seen them before posting🙏🏻.

This is what I see🤷🏻♂️.
347 Linux kernel CVEs published yesterday BTW
Oh dear☹️. It might as well not be happening at all, for you😭😂.
I've seen a few. No luck this time 😭

I saw that one, too. Totally agree! Good luck to you tomorrow
Enjoy. I remember seeing a total eclipse, all the way back in 1999. A magical and surreal experience. It will be about 92% totality, where I am, tomorrow.
I'm only using my phone. The clanker, is Mac exclusive🙏🏻😂.
It would be cool if @nprofile…yryp could make the grapheneOS recovery codes also print a QR code that could be scanned into @nprofile…t77k passport prime for safe keeping.
By all means, follow him off a cliff.
More NE Texas, but we occasionally get them here especially when there's a hurricane.
I'd love to do some storm chasing, I've always wanted to see a tornado, close up. Maybe one day🙏🏻. Presumably they happen not far from where you are...

This is the only salt, I am aware of🤷🏻♂️.
Did they give a reason for the random selection? I assume it's to not give anyone a head start advantage. I don't know the technical merits of that guess, just speculating.
If I was young and broke, yes, I'd have probably took that option but I can afford full ones, these days, occasionally battling the urge to "Just Say No"😬😂.
