471 days and billions of dollars later; tons of bombs and a david v. goliath firepower disparity...
the result, in northern Gaza 🤣 :

you can't break the Palestinian resistance.

I would unironically change my entire stance on guns if this was real
It happened
Nothing changed
Keep stacking
Mike Waltz, sigh. Nevermind.
I have little hope when it comes to American politics, but one can only dream that the Trump presidency at least brings some change when it comes to Palestine and the situation in the middle east. Biden was a momumental disaster in that regard.
On the other hand, we can't escape the knock-on effects reg. personal liberties and bodily autonomy (lgbt rights, abortion, etc) even outside America. I'm fucking tired of spineless populists abusing minorities and using violent rhetoric to ride the wave.
If there is a hell Poste Italiane will be at the deepest pit of it.
I'm parasite free for sure since I had to go through a lot of testing when I first started having issues years ago. Idk about Candida though. TL:DR; from doctors was "IBS" ie. we don't know but it isn't a known allergy or disease related.
I think I need to somehow make my eating day calories around ~4200 to average 2100 a day. That would probably keep my weight stable. I just can't figure out how to shove 4200 calories into a single meal (while keeping it pleasant).
Nighttime walks are a form of therapy.
Bliss.

Saw this little friend today

Battery, if you can source a high quality replacement.
OMAD for close to 4 years now. ADF for around a year.
I'm struggling to eat enough calories to keep my weight stable at this point. I'm still losing weight, albeit very slowly. If I eat any more than I do in my eating day I'd feel uncomfortable.
I end up with around 3600 Cals on eating day, so ~1800 Cals daily average.
Can't really see how to fit more than 3600 calories in a single meal 😅
Might have to go back to just OMAD without alternate day fasting if I can't figure out how to maintain my weight in a couple of months. But then I worry the IBS and other discomfort ADF fixed might come back.
Anyone went through this? I'd appreciate any tips.

Sad to see SBW (Simple Bitcoin Wallet) go from one of the most polished Bitcoin+LN wallet to what it is now; LN/LNURL functionality removed, HW Wallet (airgapped) support removed, and now on GitHub you can even see Coin Control being removed and Google Auth being added for whatever reason.
Probably a good reminder to disable updates and/or move on if you still have it installed.
DB nuked, writes only enabled to my pubkey now so I can use it as an archival relay.
Okay, seems like my NIP-05 only free relay now contains questionable Japanese CP adjacent content. I'm taking it down, nuking it, and only keeping the paid relay...

[CW: Death]
Sorry for the graphic content, but I'm posting in the interest of raining awareness towards the Israeli warcrimes in Gaza and the wider region.
Sha'ban is one of tens of thousands of souls lost to Israel's deliberate barbaric targeting of civilians. His mother died with him in that tent. The US war machine is responsible for arming and financing the Israeli regime.

Depends. Personal spending node? Pretty much braindead easy.
Routing node?
It is still a pain the ass. You can certainly make it profitable - until you get absolutely wrecked by FCs and other bugs.
I had mine dialed in and routing lots of volume, generating decent profit, at the cost of more or less daily monitoring and channel management. It's a part time job.
Then the november/december fee spikes happened and FCs around that time cost me around a million sats.

I mean, this is how Fedora/GNOME (idk about the spins) already behaves in addition to a small warning message confirming you intend to run an executable.
Yeah, you can settle onchain. Depends on if their node exists or not. It'll either be a cooperative close or a force close (expect a timelock)
I thought this was a meme/fake

But nope, it's real

What the fuck...?
But you're making that reaction without letting the person performing the report know...
This. It boils down to the client doing something automatically without me authorizing it. When I report content, I expect to send a report. Not a report + a preset reaction.
Very odd resistance towards removing this clearly unwanted behavior but it's his software and he has the final say.. doesn't mean I like it.
Second wave of Swan Bitcoin scam emails out, warn your less technically savvy buddies.
@nprofile…pyug please remove the reaction. When I send a report, I expect a report. Not an automatic reaction bundled with it.
Actually from a quick test it looks like they don't even wait for a confirmation(?). My Aqua LN swap took less than 10 seconds.
Fair enough. The minimum time for the payment is ~1/2mins since Liquid blocks are generated every minute and whatever Boltz takes to find a route.
I'm not sure what the timeout is but I can't imagine it being very long, so probably not getting into hours.
The downsides of swaps vs native LN... but comes with no inbound liquidity, FCs, and channel management nonsense + being fully insulated from onchain fee spikes 🤷♂️
On that matter; @nprofile…qxg6 y'all should add more boltz swap providers like https://swap.diamondhands.technology/ and compare rates, go with cheapest, or randomly if the same fee for better censorship resistance and reliability :)
That is odd, the fee for that should be a predictable and reproduceable 14ish sats per liquid utxo in the tx and boltz fee being 1 sat + routing fee from Boltz->Alby 🤔
It uses Boltz Liquid<->LN swaps. It's essentially Muun except there is no unpredictable fee issues and/or subsidizing for turbo channels by being Liquid-first.
I think most issues will be around tiny LN payments not suitable for a Boltz swap or Boltz being unable to find a route to the receiver and this only being apparent to the sender (Aqua) after a while..
Yeah, and an odd urge to.. jump. It's like a subconscious voice tempting you to do it.
I get intrusive thoughts about jumping off / leaping from edges and great heights but it doesn't really bother me, it's just an automatic but odd response.
Does your brain do that too? If you have a fear of heights I can see that combination sucking 😅
Practically all of them do, you can only limit the damage with these unpredictable events.
It only reduces response times, it does not prevent anything.
I pay 60% of my monthly income on rent.
I love existing. 🥰
Mind you I'm not convinced that nostr as a concept is actually viable without big centralized relays essentially operating as their own walled gardens in distinct communities
Fair - but encryption aside: nostr is specifically designed to avoid any P2P aspects.
For better or for worse the relay model is what defines nostr 🤷♂️ - we'll see if that pans out.
"It doesn't rely on any trusted central server, hence it is resilient; it is based on cryptographic keys and signatures, so it is tamperproof; **it does not rely on P2P techniques, and therefore it works.**" - https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nostr
This is a French peculiarity, not an EU one. They've always been weird about encryption.
Unironically posting garbage from the DailyMail is an interesting indicator of either a) your intelligence or b) malice.
Make tomato sauce and jar it!
Nostr's whole point is that it isn't P2P. Relays are fundamental to that. If your solution is P2P, it's not nostr.
Ideally, relays should not see any plaintext unencrypted content that would make them liable, but idk how that would work.
But yes, currently relays are a liability nightmare.
Only on nostr would I find people unironically calling for a late stage capitalism CEO cabal monstrosity to literally hold the world hostage and present it as a "solution"

My coturn is already setup for nextcloud/REST, so shared secret auth is enabled.
Once you do that, the only format for username/password auth you can use will be turn:timestamp:username:key@hostname:port
The username will necessarily be of the format xxx:yyy in this case.
Classic username:password and REST can't be configured at the same time on coturn
OK, looking at: https://github.com/0xchat-app/0xchat-app-base/blob/ebcc02d8a886c2c9e37a508dffe4d9ead9b7e198/ox_common/lib/model/ice_server_model.dart#L90
They should just let you specify a username and password manually. Their approach is broken if you're using static auth since the username field will be timestamp:username and the password is the key
so it would be formatted as timestamp:username:key which their code won't handle as it expects username:password
