A cable machine is a good balance. Will give you lots of options without the concern for younger exercisers to drop weights on their feet. depending in size,multistation setup might be great. I'd also get one with a dip bar and pull up bar - mandatory, so you don't need to add other equipment

I tried out FC for a while. It has potential, but there are a ton of issues with it (at least for me) that Nostr has superior answers to.
The biggest one of all is the difficulty in running a node - which is sort of par for the course in ethereum/altcoin world I suppose.
After a day or two on Nostr I stood up a personal relay in minutes. And now I'm self-hosting a client. And starting to build a new relay from scratch as weekend project. You can't compare to that level of openness and low barrier to decentralization.

This one is posed as BRC20 txs, 546 sats with 5sat/vb that will never confirm or get purged.
Two of these are sat in one of my wallets. Dusting started a week ago and it seems to be in long chain with over 200 other wallets.
Best practice? Freeze and forget or pay the CPFP and burn?

After Thursday’s presidential debate, I have a tough time relating to or wanting to be a part of any politics. I’ve been feeling this for quite some time and haven’t really supported any political candidate from either party since 2016. I sure as hell won’t support Donal Trump, I’d like Biden to step down, the DNC is corrupt, and the progressive wing of the Democratic Party is a laughable sideshow that’s ineffective and grasping for relevance.
I am left leaning ideologically and politically, and obviously while I’m feeling this and running @npub1fpc…4sld I can have mixed feelings about the title/brand. Can the progressive bitcoiner take on and be an identity of its own, calling those to embrace a new “progressive,” forward thinking view with Bitcoin? I don’t know, but many on the left are still absolutely repulsed by bitcoin and closed off based on tribal, group think. It’s disappointing to say the least. Is the title or risk of distraction worth it, considering the normie left isn’t tuning in as I desired anyway?
Bitcoin is millions of miles above this silly politicking and left/right divide. It is so much bigger, and more important, than all of this. My hope with the pod is that it has presented diverse content and helped people feel seen and heard that don’t typically resonate with the right/libertarian dominate crowd in bitcoin, not to divide.
My feelings on all of this may lead to a rebrand of the pod (removing political labels). It may not. I want to be very intentional either way, and my focus remains the same of wanting to highlight what I think are the most import things in bitcoin: human rights, mining and the environment, social justice, basic tech understandings, Bitcoin for everyone and global freedom money, etc.
It was a huge thing. That’s why they had removed zaps for a while and then will shared the script on nostr a bit later. He found a sly roundabout way

I do something similar and love it too. But it's not about my goals specifically, but about the things I want. I have a wish list that I try not to be too long.
The desires range from things deep in my heart to some material whims. I try to always have it somewhere in sight. It usually changes only once a wish has been fulfilled. Under each wish I put a note about what I am doing to make that wish come true.
The difference between doing it with goals and desires is perhaps that desires come more easily from one's heart, while goals tend to be things that (although not always) are usually imposed by external ideas or society itself. I don't know if I explain myself. Or maybe there is not difference between goals and wishes?
I really like seeing my wish list even if some of them have not yet been fulfilled or are very ambitious since in the note I realize how much I am doing my part to fulfill it.

Yes, I would try using a different Lightning address. (I’m not familiar with bitrefill’s configuration, or I’d try to troubleshoot that too).
Alby is an easy (but custodial) solution, as is Wallet of Satoshi (if you’re outside of the USA).
Also — adding a Lightning address is only the receiving part. To send zaps… it depends on which client you’re using. But most will either “open” your Lightning wallet, or, if the client supports NWC (Nostr Wallet Connect), you can integrate certain Lightning wallets directly with your nostr client.
It’s a lot of info, so just ask if you have any questions!!

I’d be up for that. I’ll keep a better log of progress and observations. Overall this has been easier than I expected. It’s the first “diet” that doesn’t feel like a chore. Maybe that’s because it’s what my body has been wanting this entire time.

someone has to do the discovery work. Either the fund does it (finds devs) or the developers do it (applies to the fund). There has to be a selection process somewhere. So either the devs can self-select or the fund can go searching through all Nostr projects on earth.
So it's about incentives. The fund isn't going to spend extra energy to ALSO give away money. Theyre already "spending" a ton. So the developers are incentivized to surface themselves up; to "spend" comparatively little (time) to make themselves known and potentially gain a lot.
The filtering and selection has to happen somewhere. "hey developer who wants free money, make yourself known to me by writing a little bit on this public form and I'll read all the submissions" is far lower friction and cheaper than "okay let me scour the whole fucking internet to find a place to lose a bunch of cash."

That’s what I’m trying to say.. there’s no way in any client to currently compose it that way where you can add a description to each individual image and even if 1 client did it it wouldn’t really be interoperable across the ecosystem
and for me it rendered the same, text of the note and then two images on the carrousel which doesn’t really fix anything the cool thing would be individual text descriptions of each image
