It's been so weird working on @npub1s3h…75wz because we're now 10 people and it took forever to collect the group and get the infrastructure setup and write the scripts and figure out where to put the docs, and figure out naming schemes, and decide which products to build, and draw icons, and rent relays, and learn how to make repo events, and select frameworks and tools, decide on languages and network with people making similar products, and and...
But, now that's all there and we can just... work.
It's getting interesting.

我看一个我关注的博主到处旅游 甚至在家里养蜥蜴 还给蜥蜴喂蟑螂 真的是我这辈子最最最羡慕的一种人 就是胆子大的人 而且他在做这些的时候很享受很开心 不用鼓起勇气硬着头皮 如果换成我，让我去做这些事，我得鼓起一万分的勇气也吓得浑身发抖。我二姐也是这种胆子大的人，所以她从来不好好学习，她的人生就是各种玩，她还当过兽医，在乡下的养殖场里给牛打针啥的。卧槽，换成我，只是让我靠近牛，我就吓得浑身发抖大小便失禁，别说去给牛打针了。所以我特别特别羡慕我二姐，对于我来说，人生的主题就是害怕，以及尽量躲在家里或者尽量做白领的工作，这样更安全。所以我努力学习计算机，不是因为我热爱这些东西，是我很害怕人生的其他东西，害怕危险害怕出门，害怕其他更危险的工作，所以我只能去卷这些不危险的工作。我又想到我以前在老家的时候，我家门口有狗，所以每次都让我二姐来接我，因为我二姐一点也不怕狗，她甚至想养狗，每次我们一起路过狗的时候，我问她你不怕狗扑你身上吗，她说“还有这种好事？”所以我太羡慕她了，她不是鼓起勇气然后不怕狗，她是压根不需要鼓起勇气，就压根不怕狗。我真的这辈子好想体验一次啥也不怕，想去哪儿就去哪儿的人生，可是我根本做不到，因为我一害怕就身不由己，控制不住地害怕，根本不是我能控制的。我二姐结婚之后她老公给她买了辆车，她就带着她俩娃到处玩。她做饭的时候，一只手抱着娃，一只手炒菜。卧槽，我太羡慕她了，换成我，首先我至今不敢炒菜，因为我特别特别害怕热油。我真的好羡慕胆子大的人，他们就不用天天苦逼地学习，可以到处玩，可以做各种工作，但我却只能呆在家里每天学习，就是为了抢到一份不危险的工作，不然就活不下去。他们的人生是享受，我的人生是忍受

I do something similar and love it too. But it's not about my goals specifically, but about the things I want. I have a wish list that I try not to be too long.
The desires range from things deep in my heart to some material whims. I try to always have it somewhere in sight. It usually changes only once a wish has been fulfilled. Under each wish I put a note about what I am doing to make that wish come true.
The difference between doing it with goals and desires is perhaps that desires come more easily from one's heart, while goals tend to be things that (although not always) are usually imposed by external ideas or society itself. I don't know if I explain myself. Or maybe there is not difference between goals and wishes?
I really like seeing my wish list even if some of them have not yet been fulfilled or are very ambitious since in the note I realize how much I am doing my part to fulfill it.

The glaring hole in the argument is that people who say that ancient humans "lived" only 40 years are wrong and mix up several basic concepts.
The most important one is "lifespan (longevity) vs average life expectancy". Ancient humans lived more or less the same number of years we do now. But deaths at birth and infancy were a lot higher, which is brings the average expectancy down by so much compared to now.
So no, having children in their teens didn't have anything to do with "seeing them grow up because we'll be dead by age 40".

I don’t see the attraction of using AfterPay etc for small purchases like some people do but I have use other BNPL services in the past for larger (furniture) purchases. Basically for exactly the reason you say, allows spreading the cost out without credit card interest. For me it was really just a way to avoid draining savings after having just bought a house and I was comfortable about making the repayments.
I can relate. People think the answer can’t be that easy.

In Australia, they are typically interest free. You just repay it in four instalment payments. I believe they make money through charging late fees and selling purchase history to data miners. I guess that could arguably be cheaper than a traditional credit card that would charge interest for carrying a balance for the same duration of time you're spreading out the BNPL payments. Paying outright would be best, but I guess if you know for certain you'll have the money for each repayment then you might be able to play the BNPL game to make your money go further in order to buy more in a shorter period of time.

Yes, I would try using a different Lightning address. (I’m not familiar with bitrefill’s configuration, or I’d try to troubleshoot that too).
Alby is an easy (but custodial) solution, as is Wallet of Satoshi (if you’re outside of the USA).
Also — adding a Lightning address is only the receiving part. To send zaps… it depends on which client you’re using. But most will either “open” your Lightning wallet, or, if the client supports NWC (Nostr Wallet Connect), you can integrate certain Lightning wallets directly with your nostr client.

Haha. That picture is in the Prague torture museum. I remember me and my friends setting it and laughing at the. It was just called “the saw” and there was a giant saw beside the picture - the teeth on it were massive. The kicker? Uma História meio bad sobre suicídio de um ex-colega de sala meu e uma reflexão sobre traição aqui no Brasil. Essa fórmula sempre repete e nunca acaba.
Bom, é uma história bem triste, e longa, isso aconteceu a 1, 2 anos, mas vou dar um contextozinho de mais tempo pra entender mais ou menos quem era esse colega e o que aconteceu antes de ele se matar (Supostamente). Pra quem quiser ler, vamos lá.
Eu estudei num colégio gigantesco na maior parte da minha vida, muito grande mesmo, era quase uma universidade americana, era uma faculdade religiosa antiga de uns 100 anos que foi reformada, modernizada e acabou virando um dos lugares, talvez o lugar mais caro pra se estudar naquela cidade.
Lá, a maioria dos alunos ou eram pessoas muito ricas, ou nepotistas, bolsistas com algum desconto (Meu caso), e tinha uma minoria de pessoas que entraram porque foram transferidas de outra unidade menor, e uma dessas pessoas era esse colega.
Ele sentou na minha frente, tava calado, não falava com ninguém e fui a primeira pessoa a conversar com ele, coloquei uma xuxa no cabelo dele pra provocar e dizer um "Oi, gostei do cabelo", meio bobo, mas ele riu e respondeu de volta, meio timido, mas falou.
Mas era difícil isso acontecer, até porque a salas e séries eram distribuídas em série tal A/B/C, umas duas tinham capacidade de 40-50, e a minha era 80, algo assim, as vezes mudavam as gente de sala, tinha uns professores que mudavam até a gente se cadeira, bem rígidos. Mas sempre que eu o via, parecia um garoto muito feliz, sempre sorrindo, zoando com os amigos dele, fazendo besteiras, correndo, provocando um pessoal meio "doentinhos" de lá.
Só que no mesmo ano ele entrou, no fim, por algum motivo, ele saiu, e ninguém mais falou dele. Um pouco antes que ele morreu (Me contou) e depois (Pelos amigos dele), fiquei sabendo que os pais dele decidiram morar no interior do interior do Ceará ou Maranhão, na roça mesmo, cidade praticamente sem poste de energia. Esse meu colega ficou muito mal durante esses anos que passou lá, porque ele vinha de uma família bem pobre, tinha passado e entrado num colégio foda, mas por algum motivo, decidiram se mudar e levar ele pra roça. Dizem que foi porque o desconto da bolsa não era o suficiente, ou que o pai do avô morreu e era a cidade dele, não sei.
E ele sofreu muito lá, ele vivia curtindo o Playstation que tinha na escola durante o intervalo, tinha ganho o primeiro celular, sempre alegre, mas quando foi pro Nordeste, desenvolveu síndrome do pânico, tínitus (Um zumbido crônico no ouvido) porque sempre faziam festas com barulhos altos do lado da casa dele, tinha galo dentro de casa que cantava no quarto dele 2 da manhã, ele acordava com susto do nada, mesmo no silêncio da noite, ele levou coice de gado, teve que trabalhar na lama, ficava cheio de pus e ferida por causa de insetos e bichos que tinham lá, parou de estudar, enfim, a vida dele virou um inferno.
Anos depois, uns 2 meses antes de ele se matar, eu e minha amiga fomos pra uma festa de 18 anos onde esse garoto foi, e ele tava estranho, porém parecia ter mudado, ele era feliz, ficou triste no Nordeste, e quando apareceu na festa, tava feliz do tipo arrogante, se achando. Ele tinha ido trabalhar de atendente num prédio com vários consultórios médicos, arquitetos e empresários, e lá conheceu uma mulher, linda, linda demais, e ricaça, que chegou a estudar naquela minha escola
Ela pagava um monte de coisa pra ele, e ele gostava, se exibia pros amigos, pegava o dinheiro e pagava pros amigos também, etc. Mas no final dessa festa, eles ficaram bêbados, o garoto decidiu ir embora com o pai andando, e a garota...bem, ela ficou com os amigos dele, não de beijar, mas ficou xavecando, tirou a jaqueta e deixou o decote do vestido bem a mostra, se inclinando pra frente, falando manso.
Aí a história começa a ficar meio previsível, alguém começou a fofocar, até chegar nesse meu amigo. Ele ficou putasso, e foi tirar satisfação com ela, ela disse que não xavecou ninguém, blábláblá terminaram. Não deu uns 2 dias, e ele decidiu ir pra casa dela pra voltar, era um condomínio de luxo, mas como ele tinha ido tantas vezes, o porteiro nem perguntou, e só deixou ele entrar. Ele foi caminhando, chegou na frente da casa dela, uma casarão na verdade, foi pro outro lado da rua pra ver a janela do quarto dela, e viu um cara acariciando ela...
...aí ele enlouqueceu, tocou a campainha, eles abriram, ele começou a fazer barraco, gritou, o novo namorado disse pra ele se acalmar, não tava entendendo, e até chegou a pensar que ela que tava traindo, o meu colega ficou dizendo que ela não gostava dele, que ele queria voltar e não aguentava ficar sem ela, MAS, a cagada foi quando ela disse que ele só queria dinheiro dela, que só fez isso pra bancar o fodão e não queria ela de verdade. Mal deu tempo do novo namorado tentar dizer pra ele esperar e se acalmar, que esse meu colega saiu correndo e deixou os dois.
Aí, corta pra mim e meus amigos numa festa de piscina no prédio de uma amiga, a gente curtindo na piscina, na sombra, de repente alguém aparece dizendo que esse meu colega chegou, e que o churrasco já podia começar, todo mundo estava presente. Mas ele só sentou e ficou na cadeira de frente pra piscina e eu lá dentro, não queria sair ainda. Dei um sorriso cumprimentando ele, mas o cara só olhou e fez um "não" com a cabeça.
Perguntei o que houve e ele disse "O fdp tá com ela", e eu perguntei "Quem? O que aconteceu?", e ele disse "Aquele merda que tava dando em cima da minha minha namorada na festinha de 18.", respondi "Mas, você brigou com ele agora?", e ele desabafou, contou com raiva tudo o que aconteceu, que ela disse que ele só queria dinheiro, que ele morou na roça, ficou todo fudido, a vida dele tava incrível quando estudou naquela escola grande, e tals.
Saí da piscina, peguei uma cadeira e fiquei sentada do lado dele conversando, e deixando ele desabafar. Só que aí, alguém de longe interrompeu e gritou "Ei, vocês 2, o churrasco tá esfriando, venham logo", e eu falei pro meu colega "Quer continuar aqui ou a gente conversa depois?", e ele respondeu seco "Agora não, aquele merda fudeu minha vida", se levantou e foi embora, pegou o carro do pai e saiu muito rápido, deu pra escutar de longe o pneu derrapando no piso do estacionamento e uma buzina de um caminhão depois que o portão da garagem abriu. Foi embora
Enfim, fui pro churrasco, me servi, mas não deu 10, 12 minutos e alguém gritou "Puta merda, [Nome do meu colega] se matou"... Eu fui a primeira a falar com raiva "Mentira, para de brincar com essas coisas, garoto", e ele disse "É serio, gente, ele se matou, numa carreta bitrem alí na rodovia tal". Eu fiquei sem reação mas ainda insisti "Menino, NÃO VAI COLAR, eu tava com ele alí na piscina, vocês viram".
E aí apareceu outro amigo e disse "Gente, é verdade, ele morreu", aí foi uma confusão, gente chorando, eu sem reação, o pessoal largou o churrasco e foi pra rodovia, fui junto. O caminhoneiro tavam um pouco ferido, mas nada demais, e tinha um motorista de um carro azul que foi ultrapassado pelo meu colega antes da colisão. Ele disse que era 100% suicídio, ele foi direto no caminhão que vinha na outra faixa da contramão, de frente, só deu tempo de olhar o carro indo reto, e ir pro acostamento pra desviar.
Eu sinceramente não consigo acreditar que ele se matou, ainda acho que ele perdeu o controle, virou o volante, os pneus da frente derraparam e o carro só foi reto, era um carro meio antigo e tava muito rápido, sei lá.
O acidente foi feio demais, não vou dar muitos detalhes, mas basicamente não sobrou muita coisa do corpo dele, tem partes que nunca nem foram achadas, a maioria tava no mato da floresta do lado da rodovia, o caixão foi fechado, obviamente, e a garota e o namorado nem apareceram no velório, mandaram mensagens dizendo que sentiam muito, que tava tristes, e tals.
Hoje, não sei mais por onde eles andam, só sei que saíram e foram pro Sudeste, São Paulo, e depois não sei mais.
Essa é a história, triste demais, ainda fico meio mal, acho que deveria ter segurado ele pra não ir, esperado, conversado mais, só que eu não sei se foi proposital, se foi uma perca de controle, e nunca vou saber, os pais não falam do assunto, e eu nem seria insensível de falar disso se eles não querem.
Se foi uma perca de controle, fica na minha cabeça o que ele faria depois, pra onde iria? Pro condomínio? Pra outra casa dela? Cidade? Sei lá.
E se foi um suicídio mesmo, eu acho estranho, mas também lembro que existem suicídios "relâmpagos", literalmente, pessoas que parecem ter se recuperado, ou estão aparentemente bem, e simplesmente decidem se matar em segundos, na hora mesmo.
O que mais me intriga, é que chegou um momento nessa história onde eu disse "Aqui a história começa a ficar previsível", pois, é tão clichê essa "Fórmula da traição" aqui no Brasil, Um dos dois se afasta > o outro fica com os amigos > amigos xavecam > um desconfia > brigam > terminam > o traído tenta conversar > descobre que o outro já tá com outra pessoa.
Sabe, eu imagino o tanto de vezes que isso já se repetiu aqui, é tão clichê, mas infelizmente continua acontecendo. Junto com a Holanda, Brasil é um dos países mais infiéis. Imagino que já deve ter acontecido algo assim com alguém aqui, talvez não um suicídio ou acidente, mas algo nessa mesma fórmula, contexto, etc.
Hoje quando lembro disso nem consigo chorar, ou saber direito o que pensar sobre, mesmo tendo sido, literalmente, a primeira colega a conversar com ele naquela escola, e a última pessoa a conversar com ele em vida. Têm momento que eu penso se deveria ter sido mais rígida e não ter deixado ele correr pro carro, ou talvez ter chamado o pessoal, enfim, aquelas coisas que passariam na cabeça de qualquer um numa situação dessa.
Se você é solitário, ou é casado com alguém por tanto tempo, considere-se bem sortudo, aqui no Brasil, é só pros melhores, o resto é NPC, brasileiro médio, mediocridade. É isso, obrigado por ler até aqui (Se leu).

I guess the middle-ground would be mute. Some clients allow you to mute for a certain amount of time. If that’s not available, you’d have to manually mute and unmute.
