Electricity transmission infrastructure is ugly to many people, but I generally find it to be uplifting. Maybe it’s because of my original profession.
Electricity is one of the biggest quality of life enhancers for people, and so transmission lines give me a sense of development and progress. Distribution lines are often haphazard looking, but transmission lines generally have a bigger and more organized appearance which kind of appeals to my sense of order.

It’s nearly 1:00 am here as this very full day (actually, week) of travel, friends, and vacation fun comes to a close. I had been feeling some burnout at work, and this was a long-awaited recharge.
A total change of scenery and change of pace - simply a vacation from the regular routines - can be such a good thing. Oh, and I had the opportunity to make a few cool new friends, while also deepening and expanding existing friendships.

I am able to store my nsec anywhere. The problem I see is that I need to add my nsec to a client to access it. It’s like adding your 12 word seed phrase to a device. It’s connected to the internet so its not 100% safe. Using a cold wallet in crypto allows you to sign transactions without the need to add your seed to an online device.
Adding my nsec to an online device makes it possible for someone to get to it. Very low probability but still a probability. That’s why cold wallets for crypto were made. To keep the seed offline permanently.
I ask why pineapple shouldn't be on pizza, and the response is generally that fruit does not belong on pizza. I then snarkily state that tomato is a fruit!

And it seemed like it was working. I was getting the batch zaps when I logged in and it looked like everything was working for me, just sender was getting a failure message. Best/easiest solution I’ve found is just to run a lightning node on the hardware at home (MyNodeBTC is my favorite) and then Connect it to @npub1xnf…lpr5 wallet on your phone. They have easy instructions on there. The only thing you don’t get with this route is a LNURL, but you can use @npub12vk…pugg or @npub1get…0nfm for that.

yes, i alternate between the leather strap shoes, regular flipflops (flat soled) and shoes and barefoot. sometimes bandaids are necessary but eventually it gets easier to wear any type of sandal.

Oh man for $150 you should be able to get a super good one. Like an m910q with an i7 and 16gb. The 93p’s are a little older model and you can find those all day long for like 50 bucks with good enough specs to run a node.
Laptops def work too. They’re just a little harder to tuck away and might draw a bit more power when set to always on.
For 1 year worth of hosting you can have a really good machine that’ll last for years and can be used for other stuff if you decide to switch it up.

nice. i like doing 36 hour fasts once a week. for me, the hardest part is around 18 hours and doing some light cardio then actually helps reduce the hunger.
