It also reduces the incentive to interact and communicate with other developers.
Interoperability lowers the development costs and effort dramatically because you can just use and reuse each others' stuff. It also gives you an incentive to actively promote *other people's* products and actively seek out interaction with them.
If money is no option, why bother? And why bother caring about interoperating with the wider network? The two or three biggest projects can just drive everything.
And that's how you quickly recreate corporatism in FOSS. FOSS has its own sort of money printer.

Hi nostr friends, doing an evening check in after a busy day. I started the turnover at the bnb cabin, and plan to finish that tomorrow. Otherwise i just did some catching up around the house, and was able to catch one of the chickens that has been getting out of the run. I clipped one of her wings, maybe that will help. Then we just went on a little ride around the property on the Gator to end the day.
So I've been playing with Aqua wallet and Coinos wallet, just to have some options for small lightning transactions. I had issues with Mutiny, maybe i'll revisit that one later. As far as the rest of your rant, your device is no different than your car or house, if there is probable cause, they don’t need your permission. Maybe in your country or state, cops just randomly frisk people or try to access their devices, but that doesn’t happen here.

Because that's exactly what they accused Bitcoin of in the past and will also accuse self-custodial Bitcoin users of in the future too. i was able to make it work by making the cashu.me wallet on my desktop instead of on ios but really want the ecash wallet on my phone. trying to replace mutiny for the time being.

Been learning/pondering about various ideas behind governance lately. I think the most promising idea I've encountered is having competing start up city/states that are structured like joint stock corporations. They compete for the best and brightest citizens who would willingly move there and pay the local tax because the place was safe, clean, and had a high standard of living because it promoted free enterprise.
Like a joint stock corporation, the state executive or CEO is chosen by the board and the board members are chosen by the stock holders. Since the stock owners have skin in the game, they have the incentive to choose wise board members who will chose an effective CEO.
Imagine us all debating over the corporate policies of McDonalds or Apple. It's asinine. You either chose to buy their product or not. Instead, we have a cold civil war and government that's growing like a cancer, which will eventually kill the host. Dark times ahead, but there is hope because we now have ways to freely communicate ideas and save our wealth despite the cancer's best efforts.

I quit Twitter twice and permanently deleted the account each time. There’s a 30 period during which can reactivate and revive your data. After 30 days it’s gone for good. On my third try I just passed 30 days. Quitting smoking took more tries. No looking back.
I have to be on LinkedIn for work and a marketing team manages my Instagram and Facebook (I don’t even have log ins). Other than that, I’m Nostr only.
It’s still harder to get a pulse on Bitcoin here imo but it’s worth it to own my data and it’s getting better fast.

Väterrechte, insbesondere nach Trennungen, wurden hingegen in vielen Kontexten als nachrangig behandelt (Europäisches Institut für Gleichstellungsfragen, 2020). Auch hier spiegelt sich möglicherweise die Dominanz weiblicher Perspektiven in der Forschung wider.
Zudem hat in den letzten Jahren die Forschung zu LGBTQIA+ Themen und intersektionalen Ansätzen stark zugenommen (Hines, 2020). Während dies wichtige Perspektiven einbringt, könnte es - in Kombination mit dem Fokus auf Frauenthemen - zu einer weiteren Marginalisierung heterosexueller männlicher Erfahrungen in der Forschung führen.
Es ist an der Zeit, dieses Ungleichgewicht in der Geschlechterforschung kritisch zu hinterfragen. Während die Fortschritte für Frauen und marginalisierte Gruppen zweifellos wichtig sind, darf dies nicht auf Kosten einer ausgewogenen Forschung gehen, die alle Geschlechter gleichermaßen berücksichtigt.
Für eine wirklich inklusive und effektive Geschlechterforschung ist es notwendig, männerspezifische Themen verstärkt zu berücksichtigen, ohne dabei die Fortschritte in anderen Bereichen zu vernachlässigen. Nur so können wir eine Gesellschaft schaffen, die die Bedürfnisse und Herausforderungen aller Geschlechter gleichermaßen adressiert.
